When a trail has chains or cables, they’re there for a reason. ⛰️

These sections are usually placed where footing can be steep, loose, or exposed. A few helpful tips when you reach one:

• Keep three points of contact whenever possible
• Give the hiker in front of you enough space to move safely
• Use the chain for balance, not to pull your full weight

Taking your time on sections like this helps everyone stay safe and keeps the hike enjoyable.

Have you ever hiked a trail with chains or cables?

There’s something special about a trail day with good company 🌲

The pace feels easier, the conversations carry the miles, and every stop along the way becomes part of the memory. Sometimes the best hikes aren’t about how far you go, but who you share the trail with.

Who’s always up for an outdoor adventure with you? 🥾

Spring has a way of calling us back outside 🌿

The first warm hike.
The first campfire of the season.
That moment when the trail finally feels alive again.

Did you know early spring is one of the best times for birdwatching? 🦅

Many species migrate during April, which means more activity and more variety in the wild.

Pro tip:
Morning hours are usually the most active.

Bring binoculars, stay quiet, and watch the treetops.

Have you spotted any spring arrivals yet? 👀

Some climbs are about the summit.
Some are about the challenge along the way 🧗‍♀️

That moment when your grip finds the rock, your focus locks in, and the world gets quiet.

Climbing season is waking up again.

What’s the most memorable climb you’ve ever done?

Early season camping tip most people forget. ⛺

Spring nights can drop 10–20° colder than the daytime forecast.

Even when the day feels warm, ground temps hold onto winter cold.

A simple fix:
Put a foam pad or insulated layer under your sleeping pad. It blocks the cold coming up from the ground and makes a huge difference overnight.

Small upgrade. Much warmer sleep. 🙌
