Good Morning hotties, FB Friends and . This is a public service announcement about hormone therapy. These are estrogen//testosterone pellets given to both men and women by ANTIAGING DOCTORS. These are NOT FDA APPROVED nor do they have a safety track record. Multiple practices, including plastic surgeons, internal medicine practitioners, anesthesiologists and even chiropractors have been offering these pellet insertions for $500 every three months. These pellets are surgically placed into the buttock area and have haphazard absorption. I have seen women with vaginal bleeding, breast tenderness, enlarged clitori (one of my clients could not sit for six months) facial acne, weight gain up to 20 lbs and excessive facial hair, literally a beard. Now for the worst part. I have seen 1 case of Stage 3 C ovarian cancer, 7 cases of breast cancer, multiple ovarian cysts and so much vaginal bleeding that I cannot even quantify it. What are bio-identical hormones?
Bio-identical hormones are plant-based hormones that are the same as the natural hormones estradiol,progesterone, testosterone and DHEA produced by your body. Your gyn will tailor your bio-identical creams or patches to your specific needs. Notice I am not mentioning Pellet therapy or Oral Hormone Therapy. Both of these methods cause breast and uterine cancers as well as strokes and heart attacks. A pellet is surgically placed in the buttock fat and cannot be removed if side effects develop. There is a nationwide shortage of estradiol patches . Prices are climbing as well. The .0375 mg and .075 mg doses are easier to obtain. The genetic Dotti patch is hard to find . Compounded cream has been available for women since the 1990’s for and Muscle Building for women of all ages . Unlike and testosterone injections , the cream can be dosed daily and gradually until it is optimal for the individual using it. Thus far , I have seen 8 clients develop and 1 client develop stage 3C ovarian cancer directly related to pellet therapy . Since these pellets will never be FDA approved, I can only relate the adverse effects that I see in my office . Please call your local compounding pharmacy to find a provider IN YOUR STATE who can provide you with testosterone therapy. Many of you are having not only a difficult time finding estradiol patches , but you may find that one month you are doing really well ie the hot flashes have subsided, brain fog is better , vaginal dryness is better then boom, you are back to square one because the pharmacy gave you a different patch 🙃. Make sure to have your hormone levels checked 4-6 weeks after starting HRT therapy . is stocked with Mylan and Dotti patches . There are certain areas of your body where topical estrogen, progesterone and testosterone should be applied. Use your patches on your lower abdomen or upper buttock.
