BEFORE ➡️ AFTER: Sometimes, it’s the little things that make a big difference! 👣
Dry brushing followed by lotion made a noticeable difference in the appearance of this foot. But healthy skin is about more than just appearance!
When skin becomes excessively dry, flaky, and cracked, it can become more vulnerable to breakdown, sores, and infection. This is especially important for people who have swelling, reduced mobility, or spend a lot of time on their feet.
Keeping skin moisturized helps maintain its protective barrier, improve flexibility, and reduce cracking. Healthy skin also supports overall foot health and can make the feet look and feel less dry and irritated.
A simple routine:
🦶 Gently dry brush to loosen dead skin.
🧴 Apply a good moisturizer to help maintain hydration.
đź’§ Check your feet regularly for cracks, sores, redness, or other changes.
A quick reminder: Dry brushing should be gentle and avoided over open wounds, fragile skin, or areas with reduced sensation. Moisturizing helps protect the skin, but it doesn’t directly treat swelling. Persistent swelling or significant skin changes deserve further evaluation.
