One of the first things many people say after an MRI is, “I have a slipped disc.” The interesting part is discs don’t actually “slip.”
What’s usually happening is that a spinal disc has started to bulge, weaken, or herniate, which can place pressure on nearby nerves and tissues. That pressure can lead to symptoms like back pain, numbness, tingling, sciatica, weakness, or pain traveling into the arms or legs.
But here’s what most people are never told:
➡️Not every disc issue causes pain.
➡️And not every painful back problem is caused by a disc.
That’s why a full evaluation matters.
At Transformation Wellness Team, we look at the entire picture. Movement patterns. Muscle imbalance. Nerve involvement. Stability. Inflammation. Lifestyle habits. Recovery patterns.
➡️The goal isn’t just to chase symptoms.
➡️It’s to understand why the problem developed in the first place and help your body move better long term.
A diagnosis should give you direction, not fear.
