I have some BIG news for my womb practitioners, doulas, social workers, therapists, birth workers, and healing professionals. 🌸
One of my students reached out to tell me that she submitted her Womb Practitioner Initiation + Training to her licensing board for her professional license renewal, and the training was accepted for continuing education credit due to its TRAUMA informed education.
Y’all… 🥹
This means eligible professionals may be able to receive 18 CEU HOURS while learning the sacred womb work I have spent years developing, practicing, and teaching.
So now we’re talking about professional development AND womb-centered education in the same room.
And this means so much to me because this training goes far beyond learning ceremonies and techniques. We talk about the real experiences women carry into our spaces.
We cover birth trauma, reproductive trauma, pregnancy loss, miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth, sexual trauma and abuse, grief, generational trauma, bodily autonomy, consent, boundaries, nervous-system awareness, grounding, trauma-informed communication, practitioner ethics, scope of practice, referrals, culturally rooted healing practices, spiritual and emotional womb healing, practitioner sustainability, energetic hygiene, and creating safer spaces for the women we serve.
We also talk about something I believe every healer needs to understand:
How do you hold sacred space for someone without trying to become their therapist?
How do you recognize trauma?
How do you honor what is coming up?
How do you stay within your scope?
How do you know when someone needs additional clinical support?
And how do you care for yourself while holding space for other people?
THAT is Womb Practitioner work.
For years, I have said that womb work deserves to be taken seriously as an area of education, study, professional development, and culturally rooted care.
