Have you ever been told your lab work was "normal"... but you still didn't feel like yourself?

That can be one of the most frustrating experiences in healthcare.

Laboratory tests are incredibly valuable—but they're designed to answer specific questions. They aren't meant to explain every symptom or tell the entire story by themselves.

Sometimes the next step isn't another test.

Sometimes it's stepping back and asking a better question.

That's exactly what inspired my newest conversation.

If you've ever wondered whether more testing is likely to bring more clarity, I hope you'll find it helpful.

Do You Really Need More Lab Tests?

If you've ever wondered whether another blood test or lab panel is the right next step, you're not alone.

Sometimes additional testing provides exactly the information needed. Other times, it simply adds another piece to the puzzle without changing the bigger picture.

The better question often isn't, "What else can we test?"

It's "What are we trying to learn—and would the answer change what we do next?"

I explore this idea in my newest conversation and share a practical way to think about laboratory testing without assuming that more testing is always better—or always necessary.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

When an orchestra prepares to perform, no single musician creates the music.

Each instrument has an important role.
What if healthy energy works more like an orchestra than a battery?

The performance comes from how well they work together.

Our bodies aren't very different.

Sleep.

Movement.

Nutrition.

Stress recovery.

Hormones.

Inflammation.

Digestion.

None of these systems works in isolation. Healthy energy isn't created by one hormone, one vitamin, or one laboratory result. It's what happens when many systems are working together.

That's the idea behind my newest conversation:

Why Am I So Tired If Everything Looks Normal?

If you've ever felt exhausted despite being told everything looks "normal," I hope you'll find it helpful.

"Everything looks normal."

Have you ever heard those words and thought...

"Then why do I still feel so tired?"

Many of us assume healthy energy depends on one thing—a hormone, a vitamin, or a single laboratory result.

But our bodies don't work that way.

Healthy energy is created by many systems working together. Sleep. Movement. Nutrition. Stress recovery. Hormones. Inflammation. Digestion. When those systems begin drifting out of rhythm, it's possible to feel exhausted even when routine blood work doesn't point to one obvious answer.

In this new conversation, I explore why understanding the bigger picture often leads to better questions—and sometimes better answers.

Most of us spend a lot of time searching for better answers.

But sometimes the biggest improvement comes from asking a better question.

Instead of asking:

"What's wrong with me?"

it may help to ask:

"What patterns have I been overlooking?"

That small shift can change the conversations you have with your healthcare team—and sometimes the decisions you make about your health.

That's one of the central ideas behind my newest article.

If this resonates with you, I'd invite you to continue the conversation.

Have you ever caught yourself saying...

"I just don't feel like myself anymore."

Not sick.

Not in crisis.

Just...different.

Maybe your energy isn't what it used to be.

Maybe you're sleeping, but never quite feel rested.

Maybe it's harder to concentrate.

Maybe you've noticed you're gradually slowing down and aren't sure why.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that feeling "off" is simply an inevitable part of getting older.

The truth is a little more encouraging than that.

Growing older certainly changes our bodies—but growing older and feeling well are not mutually exclusive.

Sometimes the most important step isn't finding a quick answer.

It's learning to ask better questions.

I recently published one of the most in-depth educational conversations I've written about why so many people gradually stop feeling like themselves, how our bodies change over time, and why understanding those changes can help us make more thoughtful health decisions.

If this sounds familiar, I hope you'll take a few minutes to read it.

You may discover that your body has been trying to tell you something—not because it's failing you, but because it's asking for your attention.

One thing surprised me while researching ginger and testosterone.

It wasn't actually about ginger.

It was this:

Healthy testosterone rarely depends on one supplement.

It usually reflects the health of the entire system.

• Sleep

• Stress

• Nutrition

• Muscle mass

• Blood sugar regulation

• Gut health

• Inflammation

• Environmental exposures

That's one reason I encourage people to ask a different question.

Instead of:

"What supplement should I take?"

Try asking:

"Why isn't my body responding the way I expected?"

That single shift often leads to much more meaningful conversations about health.

I recently reviewed the current research on ginger and testosterone while exploring that bigger picture.

Could ginger naturally increase testosterone?

It's one of those questions that sounds simple—but the answer is more interesting than you might expect.

Some research suggests ginger may influence pathways related to hormone health, inflammation, oxidative stress, circulation, and metabolic function.

But healthy testosterone is rarely about one food or one supplement.

It often reflects the health of the entire body—including sleep, stress, nutrition, blood sugar regulation, gut health, inflammation, and even environmental exposures.

That's why one of the most important questions I ask isn't simply:

"What can I take?"

It's:

"Why isn't my body responding the way I expect?"

In my newest educational article, I review the current evidence on ginger and testosterone while exploring the bigger picture of hormone health and why understanding the underlying physiology often matters more than finding a single supplement.

Hormone therapy not working — even when labs look “normal”?

If you’ve tried hormone therapy but still feel off — tired, foggy, inflamed, or stuck — you’re not alone.

Many people are told their labs are “normal,” yet their symptoms don’t improve.

One reason that’s often overlooked: hidden environmental toxins that interfere with hormone signaling and detox pathways.

I break this down in plain English — no hype, no guessing — and explain why hormone therapy can fail even when it’s prescribed correctly.

👉 Read here:

Why hormone therapy isn't working? Discover 4 hidden disruptors that may be sabotaging your results — and how to test and fix them.
