Many people believe hospice is only provided in a hospice facility—but that's one of the biggest misconceptions about hospice care.

Hospice is a service, not a place. In most cases, patients receive compassionate hospice care wherever they call home, including:

🏡 Private homes
🏢 Assisted living communities
🩺 Skilled nursing facilities
🏥 Hospitals (when appropriate)

Receiving care in a familiar environment allows patients to remain comfortable while still benefiting from an interdisciplinary team of nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers and physicians focused on comfort and quality of life.
