We are so excited to share our May recommendation, hand-picked by our very own Rebecca Kennedy, LCSW.

This month, we’re reading Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving by Pete Walker. As a clinical professional, Rebecca recommends this book because it bridges the gap between complex psychology and real-life healing.

Why Rebecca chose this for May:

It Speaks Your Language: Pete Walker uses personal anecdotes and humor to explain "clinical" topics like emotional flashbacks and inner critics.

Compassion First: Rebecca finds that this book helps her clients view their trauma through a more compassionate lens rather than a critical one.

Practical Tools: It’s more than just a book; it’s a toolkit for navigating triggers and trauma responses in real-time.

Let us know if you've read it and what you think!

In his group, Circles of Control, Josh dives into how we show up in our relationships. We often think that if we just say the right thing or act the right way, we can dictate how someone else feels.

The reality? We have influence, but we don't have the final say.

By identifying where you land in the "Circle" during a conflict, you can:

✅ Gain control over your own behavior.
✅ Gain acceptance of things beyond your reach.
✅ Reduce the distress and confusion of "fixing" others.

Ready to change how you navigate your world?

What a lovely way to start our day! Thank you and for a wonderful breakfast with great collègues!

Revolve Recovery believes that raising the standard of trauma care requires a commitment to ongoing professional collaboration.

We are excited to announce TPN.health as our newest partner and digital home for Revolve Recovery CEU events and learning opportunities.

This partnership serves as a new channel for us to share the Trauma Ecology Integration Model (TEIM™) with the broader clinical community. By integrating our neurobiological and experiential framework into the TPN network, we are making our evidence-based strategies more accessible to providers across the country.

Thank you to this beautiful group of colleagues for another inspiring breakfast yesterday. It's always reinvigorating to talk with a group of amazing people doing the heart centered work and reminding us why we do what we do!

Soaking up 50 years of clinical expertise today!

Had a fantastic morning at the Meet The Meadows event. Huge thanks to Dr. Claudia Black, Dr. Kevin McCauley, and Dr. Georgia Fourlas for sharing their incredible insights on trauma and recovery.

Always a pleasure learning alongside this amazing community!

In the TEIM™ model, we recognize that trauma doesnt exist in a vacuum, it exists in an ecology. We look at the individual and the "Invisible Third," or the relational field that exists in the space between people.

Your nervous system is not just a reactive internal mechanism; it is an active participant in every environment you enter. Whether in a group setting or a one-on-one conversation, the trauma atmosphere is shaped by primary wounds, generational echoes, and current systemic forces.

Understanding this field allows us to shift from individual shame to collective regulation, recognizing that many of our reactions are resourceful adaptations to the atmospheres around us.

The Field Scan: Before engaging in a high-stakes conversation or entering a new space, perform a Field Scan. Pause and notice the temperature of the room:

• Is the field Tight (constricted, defensive, or anxious)?
• Is it Open (fluid, safe, and receptive)?
• Is it Static (numb, disconnected, or stuck)?

Observe how your body reacts to that field before you engage. This awareness marks the transition from being at the mercy of the atmosphere to becoming an architect of co-regulation.
