Starting today, there's a simple way to be part of the web that holds this together.

None of what we offer, the sound, the breath, the movement, the ordinary act of showing up for each other, holds together because one person carries it. It holds together because a community keeps choosing it, again and again, in ways large and small.

Becoming a Sustaining Patron is one of those ways: a small ongoing monthly gift, at whatever level feels right for you. It's not the only way to be part of this, and it never will be. It's simply one more thread in the web.

New on the blog: the other half of what I told you last week.

Nobody is coming to save you, I said. That's still true. But it isn't the whole truth, and this week I write about the part I almost left out: you were never meant to do this alone either. Both things are real at once. I felt it firsthand the first time I sat in a room full of sound and finally let my guard down, because for that hour, someone else was holding the space so I didn't have to.

There's no performance in this practice. No pose to nail, nothing to prove, not even to yourself.

Thomasina's Kundalini yoga classes are built around breath and simple, repeated movement, at whatever pace your body actually wants that day. Join from your living room, on your own schedule. Nobody's watching to see if you're doing it right, because there isn't a "right."

Some days that looks like real effort. Some days it looks like lying on the floor breathing. Both count.

You've probably heard us say some version of this before: we can't take credit for what happens here on our own.

The shift people feel and come back for isn't something we are solely responsible for. It comes from every participant who shows up and brings their full attention. It comes from the energy you bring into the group, from everyone who keeps choosing to be part of this, again and again.

Thank you for being in it with us. Keep it coming!

Less than a month until we gather for Cacao & Sound!

We'll start with a warm cup of LavaLove Cacao, ease into gentle Kundalini yoga to settle the body, then sink into an extended sound meditation together. One simple practice carries the whole evening: keep returning your attention to the sound.

Come with an empty stomach, the cacao works best that way! (And maybe you’ll decide to share a meal together afterwards anyway.)

New on the blog: the phrase that finally got me moving.

"Nobody is coming to save you."

That's the line I open with this week, and it's a hard one, but it's also the exact realization that pushed me to stop waiting for the right doctor, the right expert, the right anything to hand me the answer, and start finding what actually worked for me.

This week's piece is about taking back the wheel.

Life is not a performance.

There is no single correct path through this story, and no secret version of it that counts as winning while the rest of us are simply living it. Every choice you've already made, and every one still ahead, is just another page, yours to write however you write it.

No one is grading this. There is no ending you have to reach to finally say you did it right.

You just keep showing up, keep paying attention, and keep turning the page. Practice without performance. That's the whole thing.

September has a way of calling us back to a rhythm.

The looseness of summer is a gift, and it's also nice when it ends and the body wants something steady again. As the season turns, we'll be leaning back into a regular yoga practice together, and there's an easy way to join from wherever you are: Thomasina's online yoga.

No catching up, no level to reach. Just a return to the mat when you're ready.

Save the evening: Cacao & Sound Meditation, Saturday, September 26.

The season is turning, and the long push of summer finally eases. This is the time to gather in: to bring home all that the year has grown in us and set it down where we can actually see it. We'll begin with a warm cup of LavaLove Cacao, move through gentle Kundalini yoga to settle the body, then sink into an extended sound meditation together. Rich, layered vibration, and one simple practice: keep returning your attention to the sound.

You are whole. You are exactly on time. Come take the season in with us.

Saturday, Sept 26, 4–6pm · Historic Marine Village Hall.

New on the blog: why you can't think your way out of a worry loop.

There's a loop most of us know too well. A worry, a replay, a familiar what-if we pick up and turn over and set down and pick up again. And the reasonable thing to do seems obvious: get inside it and solve it, think it through until it finally lets go.

Part of what I learned the hard way is that this rarely works. Digging around inside the loop is mostly fuel for the fire. The groove just gets deeper. The way through is quieter than that, and it starts somewhere other than thinking. That's the thread this week.
