Barbara Ann Cormier
โJune 30, 1960 โ June 8, 2026
โBarbara Ann Cormier, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, at the age of 65. โBorn on June 30, 1960, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Barbara spent nearly her entire life in Pointe Coupee, where she built a life centered entirely around the people she loved. As a dedicated homemaker, her family was her proudest achievement and her greatest joy.
โBarbara was a woman of incredible warmth and vibrant character. She was known for her fiercely generous spirit, always opening her home and her heart to anyone in need of a place to stay. Just as much as she was known for her kindness, she was famous for her witโunapologetically being the sassiest one in any room she walked into. Her presence brought light, laughter, and comfort to everyone around her.
โShe is survived by her loving husband, Percy Cormier; her children, Jason, Jessica (Rafael), Mandy (Rok), Danielle, Mary (Justin), and Jeremy; her cherished grandchildren, Jackie, James, Emily, Payton, Colin, Arieina, Noah, and Isaiah; and her 6 adoring great-grandchildren, Her Beloved Siblings Sherry (Scott), Johnny, Jerry, Harold, Donald (Louise), Lester (Ruby) & Roger(Dana) & Her Beloved Dog Mollie.
โBarbara was reunited in heaven with her loving mother, Ruth Light; her father, Henry Light; her favorite uncle, Henry Nolen; and her precious granddaughter, Baileigh. โBarbaraโs warmth, open doors, and unforgettable sass will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love lives on in the family she treasured so dearly
