Tosha Diana Craven

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Tosha Diana Craven, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who left this world far too soon on July 30, 2026. Born on August 16, 1990, in Marion, Ohio, Tosha's life was a testament to love, service, and creativity.

Tosha was the loving daughter of Tracy Friley and Vernon Pennington. She was predeceased by her brother, Marlin Eugene Stone, whose memory she held dear. She is survived by her devoted husband of ten years, Michael Craven, and her three beautiful children: Camellia, Aya, and Valen. Tosha is also survived by her siblings, Alex, Janet, Justin, and Vernon Pennington, and her dear uncles, Jim and Joey Friley.

Tosha and Michael's love story began in 2016, thanks to a mutual friend, Miguel Guerrero. From their first encounter, they were inseparable, sharing countless joyous moments and creating a unique bond, affectionately calling each other "berr." Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter.

A dedicated patriot, Tosha served her country with great honor in the National Guard, Army Reserve, and Active Duty Army, retiring on June 21, 2022. Her distinguished military career earned her numerous accolades, including the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal. Her service was further recognized with the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon.

Beyond her military accomplishments, Tosha's life was enriched by her many passions. Her love for music was a constant source of joy, and she had a gentle heart for nature and animals. Her creative spirit shone through her arts and crafts, and she delighted in sharing good food with those she loved. Her vibrant energy and appreciation for life's simple pleasures were infectious, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Tosha's personality was a beautiful blend of humor, warmth, and determination. Her whimsical spirit and sense of humor brought light and laughter to everyone around her. She was deeply affectionate, wrapping her loved ones in a cocoon of warmth and loyalty. Her famously stubborn nature fueled her fierce independence and determination, making her a steadfast and faithful presence in the lives of her family and friends.

A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Tosha's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Tosha's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project. Tosha Diana Craven's legacy of love, service, and creativity will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her loved ones. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
