Westmoreland Funeral Home and Crematory

Westmoreland Funeral Home and Crematory Locally owned and operated by the same family since 1932, Westmoreland Funeral Homes in Marion, N.C.

Family owned and operated for nearly a century, Westmoreland Funeral Home & Crematory is located right in the heart of Downtown Marion. For four generations, the Westmoreland family has been committed to serving the families of McDowell County with the highest standards of service and prestige, all at affordable prices. Since 1932, it has been our mission to provide families with a beautiful and m

eaningful service to celebrate the life of your loved one. Serving our community for four generations, Westmoreland Funeral Home is guaranteed to stay in the family with Tyler Mace leading the way. Tyler is committed to seeing that your family is provided the dedicated care and service that you expect from a locally owned and operated funeral establishment. Our facility, having been built around the turn of the 20th century, is completely handicap accessible, with spacious convenient parking, a large chapel, three private staterooms, two arrangement rooms, parlor, urn displays, and a large casket and vault selection room. As the oldest funeral home in McDowell County continually operated by the same family, we take pride in having been able to offer residents the first onsite crematory. We were the first to ensure that your loved ones are not transported to some unknown far-off place. Unlike many crematories in our area, we are not interested in how many cremations we can do. Our goal is how well we can serve the families who entrust us with the care of their loved one for the cremation process. At Westmoreland Funeral Home and Crematory, we also offer a wide variety of options for preplanning your own arrangements in advance. Planning ahead is one of the most meaningful final gifts you can leave your family. A caring and sensible act, it can remove much of the burden of the funeral planning process for those you leave behind. Planning your own arrangements can leave peace of mind for your family and assure them that your wishes were honored at the time of your passing. In addition to being the oldest most reputable firm in the county, we are the only funeral home with two locations, Westmoreland Funeral Home & Crematory in Marion, and Westmoreland Funeral Service and Cremations in Old Fort. This allows us to provide better service to the community of Old Fort by allowing folks to honor their loved ones closer to home. Today, the Westmoreland Family still carries on the tradition of providing your family with superior service and care when it matters most.
