Can I remind you of something today?

So many of us spend our days taking care of everyone else—our families, our jobs, our businesses, our friends—that we forget to take care of ourselves. But here’s the truth…

You can’t pour from an empty cup.

Think about it this way: when you’re on an airplane, the flight attendant instruct you to put your oxygen mask on first before helping someone else. Not because you’re more important, but because you’re no good to anyone if you can’t breathe.

Self-care works the same way. Taking time to care for yourself isn’t selfish, it’s how you continue showing up as your best self for the people who depend on you.

You work hard. Don’t forget to pay yourself first. 💜
