We love a reunion 😍

It’s rare that we ever get follow ups on our patients; let alone visits! Today we were ecstatic that Brantley and his dad stopped by the base to meet with his flight crew from 2 years ago! 🤯 He definitely wasn’t taller than the flight nurse back then!

Luckily, flight nurse/base clinical lead Arianne Emling, who was the nurse who flew Brantley, was on shift today for this reunion! The other crew members from his flight weren’t present today, but, were paramedic Beau McFarlin and pilot Alex Songer.

We’re so grateful for the trust Brantley and his family provided us to take care of them. And that Brantley always remembers to charge his electronic devices. 😉 (inside joke 😂)

America and the STL region celebrated as they should’ve tonight! Celebrated so hard we couldn’t fly home due to visibility. We appreciate the amazing company from our friends at AEL 5! It was great to catch up and hang out!

Today’s survival guide:
✅ Grill the hot dogs.
❌ Don’t grill yourself.
✅ Light the fireworks.
❌ Don’t become the fireworks.
✅ Count to 10 before lighting the fuse.
❌ Don’t let Uncle Randy say, “Watch this.”

Our goal today is simple: We hope the only thing taking off tonight is the fireworks.

Stay safe, America… we’d rather see your fireworks than your X-rays. 🚁🇺🇸

Memorial Day isn’t just another holiday or a long weekend. It’s a day to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.

To the heroes who never made it home, thank you. To the families who carry their memory every day, we remember your sacrifice too.

As we spend time with friends and family today, let’s take a moment to reflect on those who gave everything for our country. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication will never be forgotten.
