Wonders & Treasures LLC Michelle is a CPM located in Marion, IL. She serves families in Southern IL, Western KY, and Southeast MO. My name is Michelle. Doula means servant.

She seeks to provide holistic midwifery care to healthy women during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I am a Certified Birth Doula and recieved my training through Childbirth International. Each family or client that I work for defines my role because of differing needs and desires. I respect my clients' choices. I do my best to give information about evidence-based care, but I do not

tell my clients what to do, and I do not take responsibility for their decisions. My hope is to help empower each family for their coming journey into parenthood. I serve women and their families in the areas of Carbondale, Carterville, Herrin, Anna, Murphysboro, and Marion.

When I say I’m on call, I mean it.

Not in a cute way.
Not in a “girl boss” way.
Not in a flexible schedule kind of way.

I mean my phone volume is on all night.
I mean I don’t fully exhale that entire month.
I mean every unknown number makes my heart jump a little.

It means I hesitate before committing to things.
It means I keep my calendar light.
It means I mentally calculate drive times everywhere I go.

Because if labor starts — I leave.

I have left dinners.
I have left in the middle of the night.
I have whispered, “It’s time,” to my husband while the house is dark and quiet.
I have walked out the door not knowing if I’ll be gone 4 hours or 24.

Your due date doesn’t sit on my calendar.
It sits in my mind.

Birth doesn’t wait until it’s convenient.
It doesn’t care about holidays or birthdays or exhaustion.
It just… begins.

And when you hire me, you aren’t buying coverage for a few hours.

You’re asking me to hold space in my life for you.
To stay ready.
To stay available.
To arrange my world around the possibility of your baby choosing today.

That is not casual.

It’s intentional.
It’s a commitment my whole family feels.
It’s missed plans and open weeks and constant readiness.

And I choose it. Every time.

Because this work matters deeply to me.

But understand — what you’re investing in isn’t just my time in the room.

It’s my availability before.
My readiness during.
My recovery after.
