The Acessa™ System For Treatment of Uterine Fibroids
Fibroids are a real pain, causing heavy periods, bloating, and more. If you suspect you have uterine fibroids or have already been diagnosed with them, the Acessa® procedure is a treatment option that lets you keep your uterus intact. The medical term for the Acessa procedure is laparoscopic radiofrequency ablation (Lap-RFA). Essentially, the do

ctor delivers heat directly into the fibroid causing it to shrink over time and, in turn, relieve your symptoms. Most patients are cleared to go home within 2 hours and are usually ready to return to work after 4 to 5 days. As with any medical procedure, there are potential risks to consider and discuss with your doctor when making your treatment decision.

If you've been diagnosed with fibroids, it's important to know that treatment isn't one-size-fits-all.

Depending on factors like your symptoms, the size and location of your fibroids, your age, and your personal health goals, there may be multiple treatment options available.

The best first step? Have an open conversation with your healthcare provider about ALL of your treatment options so you can make the decision that's right for you.

Uterine fibroids are common. So, why aren’t they talked about more often? 💭

This Fibroid Awareness Month our goal is to start conversations and keep them going after July ends. Because behind every statistic about fibroids are real women dealing with disruptive symptoms daily. And sometimes, they might feel like no one understands.

If you have fibroids, we’re here to be a supportive resource. If you’ve never heard of them, now is the time to learn.

July is almost here, which means Fibroid Awareness Month begins soon! 🗓️

Did you know that up to 77% of women will develop uterine fibroids in their lifetime?¹ Despite how common the condition is, conversations about it are not.

Fibroids are noncancerous tumors that grow in or around the uterus and form when a cell goes rogue and replicates over time. Some women may have no symptoms, while others experience heavy periods, abdominal pain, frequent urination, and more.

A better life is possible, and awareness is the first step toward it. That’s why our goal is to be a space for education, conversation, and validation.
