In this episode of Beyond the Limb, host Will Riddick interviews Amputee Coalition Director of Operations Whitney Doyle to explore how physical therapists can connect patients with limb loss and limb difference to vital resources beyond the clinic. They discuss the Coalition’s impact through peer support, education, advocacy, and programs like the National Limb Loss Resource Center, while highlighting practical ways clinicians can support patients’ emotional, social, and functional recovery. This episode offers actionable insights to help providers expand the continuum of care and improve long-term outcomes for those navigating life after amputation.

Who should post their story demanding their Congressmembers save and fund the Limb Loss Resource Center for FY26? Everyone! Amputees, people who were born with congenital limb differences, and everyone who supports the limb loss and limb difference community, including family, friends, caregivers, and providers. Posting your own photos and videos to social media while tagging your members of Congress and Amputee Coalition is highly impactful and effective at raising awareness for how and why a cause is important.

Post a photo or video of you on social media, tag your members of Congress, tag Amputee Coalition. Federal funding for the services through the Limb Loss Resource Center (LLRC) have been eliminated in federal 2026 budget. How does that make you feel?
