We often think healing means getting back to who we were before the pain.🤔

But that isn’t always how it works.🤷‍♂️

Loss changes us.
Trauma changes us.
Addiction changes us.
Grief changes us.
Even love and growth change us.

The goal is not to move through life untouched.

The goal is to become conscious of what life has placed within us, what it has taken from us, and what we are choosing to carry forward.🙏✌️

Some wounds become wisdom.
Some losses create depth.
Some of the darkest chapters become the very places where compassion is born.

Healing is not pretending the water never touched us.

It is learning how to move forward after it did.

Fall is coming and I can feel it. 🍂🎃

The inside of our house has been decorated since August because… it’s our damn house and we’ll decorate whenever we want. 😂👻

But tonight I went outside to start putting the pumpkins on the porch and there was finally that little chill in the air.🍁❄️

I’ve always loved this time of year. The changing air, the shorter days, the colors, the feeling of transition — there’s something about fall that just feels different.

A season of slowing down, letting go, turning inward, and making space for what’s next.

And yes… also pumpkins, ghosts, witches and spooky season. 🎃🍁👻

My favorite time of year is almost here.

The air smells different. The nights feel different. Spooky season is creeping in.

Pathways to Recovery — This Week

We’re looking forward to gathering again this week for our Drum Circle & Meditation as part of the Pathways to Recovery program.🪘🪘

This free community event is designed to support grounding, emotional regulation, connection, stress relief, and recovery through simple rhythm, guided meditation, and shared experience.

No drumming or musical experience is needed. Participants are welcome to engage at their own comfort level in a supportive, non-clinical setting.

Open to individuals in recovery, as well as family and friends impacted by addiction.
Free to attend. Space is limited.

If you or someone you know could benefit from a supportive space to reconnect, reset, and simply be present, we’d love to have you join us.✌️✌️

The Shamanic Path is officially beginning to fill.🪘🙏

I’ve already had one person complete their registration, and another is paying in full this weekend.

That means this is no longer just something I’m planning.

It’s happening.🔥🪘

Beginning in October, I’ll be leading a small group through a six-month Shamanic Path experience designed to go much deeper than a one-night workshop.

We’ll meet once a month from 6:30–9:30 PM at DanceSport Studio in Marlton, with the work continuing between gatherings through guided monthly practices, workbook material, private group communication, accountability partners, reflection, and integration.

Throughout the six months, we’ll explore:

• Foundations of shamanism
• Spiritual discernment
• Intuition versus fear, projection, and assumption
• Shamanic journeying
• Drumming and sound
• Power animals and helping spirits
• Symbolism and personal meaning
• Energy awareness and boundaries
• Patterns, triggers, and shadow work
• Ceremony and ritual
• Bringing spiritual practice into everyday life

One of the principles at the center of everything we’ll do is:

Observe First → Interpret Second → Act Last

This is not a drop-in workshop series. It is a six-month commitment designed to build month by month, with the work continuing between gatherings.

I’m intentionally keeping the group small because I want it to feel personal, interactive, and meaningful. I would love to begin with at least six committed participants, and spots are already starting to be claimed.

Tentative Dates:
October 20, 2026
November 17, 2026
December 15, 2026
January 19, 2027
February 16, 2027
March 18, 2027

Investment:
Monthly option: $150 due at enrollment
($50 nonrefundable registration/materials fee + first month’s $100 tuition)
Then five monthly payments of $100

Paid in full: $600 total
($50 registration/materials fee + $550 tuition)

Cash and Zelle are accepted with no additional fee. Venmo and PayPal are also accepted with applicable processing fees.

If you’ve been thinking about joining, I wouldn’t wait too long. I’m beginning to finalize this first group now, and once the right group is together, enrollment will close.

You can scan the QR code to apply, or contact me directly if you’d like more information or want to talk about whether The Shamanic Path is the right fit for you.

Self-control isn’t about shutting down your emotions. It’s about learning not to let every emotion make the decision for you.

So much of healing is learning to create space ❤️‍🩹between what happens to us and how we respond.

We can feel anger without becoming anger.
We can feel fear without letting fear lead.
We can be disappointed without allowing disappointment to determine our next move.

That space is where awareness grows.

It’s something I talk about often in my work:

Observe first.
Interpret second.
Act last.✌️✌️🙏🙏

This almost killed me.

Tonight I’m standing at an opioid overdose awareness event representing Ancient Healing Pathways and sharing Pathways to Recovery — a free community recovery program.

There was a time when I never could have imagined being on this side of it.

Addiction nearly took my life.

Now I get to stand here offering connection, healing, support, and hope to others who may be walking through some of the same darkness I once knew.

That means more to me than I can really explain.

Every purple flag represents a person.
A family.
A story.
Someone loved.
Someone missed.

And for anyone still struggling, I want you to know this:

Your story can change.

Recovery is possible.

And sometimes the person who once needed someone to reach down and help them becomes the person reaching back.

Tonight, I’m just grateful I’m still here to do that. 💜

Healing Together. Stronger Together.

Tonight is deeply personal for me.✌️🙏🔥💜

Ancient Healing Pathways is here at an opioid overdose awareness event sharing Pathways to Recovery, our free community recovery program.

But this work is more than a business initiative to me.

Addiction nearly took my life.

There was a time when I could never have imagined standing on the other side of a table like this, talking with people about healing, recovery, connection, and hope. There were moments when simply surviving was not guaranteed.

That is why this work matters so much to me.

Every purple flag represents a life, a family, and a story. Tonight is about remembering those we have lost, supporting those who are still struggling, and reminding people that recovery is possible.

Pathways to Recovery was created to offer welcoming, judgment-free experiences for people in recovery and for the family members and friends who have been affected by addiction.

Through community drum circles, restorative sound baths, grounding, mindfulness, connection, and shared experience, my hope is to create spaces where people can feel supported without having to explain or defend where they are in their journey.

I know what it is like to need help.

Now I have the privilege of being able to offer some of that help back to the community that I live and work in.

That is something I will never take for granted.

To everyone we have lost: you are remembered.

To everyone still struggling: you are not forgotten.

And to everyone walking the road of recovery: keep going.

💜 Healing Together. Stronger Together.

What is all this healing work actually for?✌️

I found myself thinking about that today.

I started this beautiful Saturday working with a client who has decided they’re ready to commit to going deeper into their healing.🪘🔥🙏

Later, I helped my daughter set up her very first bank account—something she specifically asked me to help her manage.

That moment carried some weight for me.

Because almost exactly 10 years ago, at the end of August 2016, I was coming out of my last overdose.

At that point, I could barely manage my own life. I don’t think I even had a bank account that wasn’t overdrawn.

Twenty years later, my daughter trusts me to help teach her how to manage hers.

There was no single moment that created that transformation.

There were thousands of them.

Choices.
Mistakes.
Consequences.
Recovery.
Therapy.
Spiritual work.
Accountability.
Learning.
Unlearning.
Starting over.
And continuing to show up.

But here’s something I’ve come to understand:

Healing isn’t supposed to become your entire life.

We do the healing work so that we can eventually LIVE.

Today, after supporting a client and helping my daughter, I’m going to sit in my favorite barber’s chair, spend time with my family, get to the gym, hopefully get some R&R and maybe play some poker with friends tonight.

None of those things sound particularly profound.

And that’s precisely why they’re profound to me.

Healing can eventually look like being dependable.

Being trusted.

Being present for your children.

Taking care of your body.

Laughing with friends.

Resting without guilt.

Having hobbies.

Having responsibilities.

Being useful to others while still remembering to enjoy your own life.

We don’t have to become perfectly healed human beings before we’re allowed to start living.

Maybe there isn’t even such a thing.

Maybe the goal is simply to become a little more conscious, a little more accountable, a little more present—and build a life that feels worth being here for.

Ten years ago, I was fighting to stay alive.

Today, I have the privilege of helping others find their own path while continuing to walk mine.

That’s what the work is for.

My heart is with the people of Nepal. 🇳🇵🙏🩷

The images and stories coming from the devastating flooding in the Himalayan region are difficult to comprehend. Lives have been lost, families are searching for loved ones, homes and entire communities have been swept away, and so many people are facing unimaginable uncertainty.

Nepal and the Himalayan lands have long held a deeply sacred place in my heart and in the spiritual traditions that have influenced my own path and the work of Ancient Healing Pathways.

Today, though, this isn’t about teachings, traditions, or spirituality.

It’s about people.

Mothers. Fathers. Children. Families. Communities.

People whose lives changed in a matter of moments.

May those who have died be held in peace.
May those who are missing be found.
May the injured receive healing.
May the rescuers have strength and protection.
And may every person who has suddenly lost their home, their livelihood, or someone they love feel the compassion of a world standing beside them.

Today we send our prayers, our compassion, and our healing intentions across the mountains to Nepal and all those affected.

May there be strength in the darkness.
May there be hope in the uncertainty.
May there be healing in the days ahead.

🙏🇳🇵
