Yesterday we traveled to Atlantic City and paid a visit to Lucy the Elephant. It was a beautiful day. Some residents enjoyed time at the slots and tables, some walked the boards and enjoyed the beach. It was a perfect outing.

We love to dance at Marlton Gardens. Today, Haelee Robison was here for our dance class. Haelee is amazing and we love when she comes. The electric slide and other line dances make for a wonderful way to start the day! Dance some, sit one out, dance some more; it's totally up to you. We are so excited for her next class!

At Marlton Gardens we plan outings weekly. This week we attended the Shipman Mansion Summer Concert featuring Norm Taylor and his band. What an amazing setting. The Red Dragon Canoe Club and the Shipman Mansion host these concerts all summer and we cannot wait to go again. They offered tours of the mansion and live music on the back porch, overlooking the river. The waterfront dock area is a fantastic spot to watch the sunset. We enjoyed the warm summer evening and the blues music. What a lovely setting. If you have a chance to check them out, we highly recommend it!

Earlier this week we celebrated Music Monday. What better way to celebrate than with the sounds of the Ukes & Brews. These players are so talented and really bring the ukulele to life.

Music Monday at Marlton Gardens! We had the pleasure of having the Burlington Entertainers here to close out our celebration. What an extraordinary group of very talented singers and musicians. Yesterday we had a musical Monday treat, when Ivan Denissov joined us for the afternoon. We were thrilled that this musical virtuoso stopped by for one more performance before he heads off to begin university. He is so very talented; a singer, and a wiz on the piano. Residents enjoyed hearing Ivan again. He first joined us last Veteran's Day to sing the national anthem and played here several times last year, in between weekends attending classes at Julliard. Ivan has since graduated high school and is off to begin a new adventure as a freshman at Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music. We are so proud to have hosted Ivan here at Marlton Gardens and wish him the very best on his next adventure.
