During the dangerous summer months, trauma cases spike but blood donations plumet—leaving hospitals scrambling. Because May is Stroke Awareness Month, our team at Bennett County Hospital wanted to share something incredibly important. A stroke can happen out of nowhere, and out here, knowing the signs early makes all the difference.

If you remember one thing today, please memorize B.E. F.A.S.T.:

Balance: Are they suddenly dizzy or losing their balance?
Eyes: Is their vision suddenly blurry or double?
Face: Does one side of their face droop when they smile?
Arms: Does one arm drift downward when they try to raise both?
Speech: Are their words slurred or sounding a bit jumbled?
Time: Call 911 immediately. Every single second counts.

We were so excited to host the Bennett-County JAG (Jobs for America's Graduates) program here at the hospital! 🏥✨

It was such a pleasure welcoming these bright, motivated students for a behind-the-scenes look at the many different career paths in healthcare. We loved showing them how our team works together to care for our community—from patient care on the floors to the vital work done behind the scenes. 🩺💙

We were so busy enjoying the visit that we didn’t get nearly as many photos as we would have liked, but the energy and curiosity these students brought was the real highlight! 📸✨

Programs like JAG are so important for helping the next generation find their passion and build the skills they need for a successful future. We hope this visit inspired some future doctors, nurses, and healthcare leaders to join our mission one day! 🌟
