We are celebrating National Recovery Month by sharing at least one video every day.
Some will be from our very own awareness events and others ones we have attended and recorded.

Our MISSION at MR is first and foremost to RAISE AWARENESS  in our local community so that you can have a better understanding of addiction and recovery.

The one I am sharing and pinning may very well be my favorite because it was from our first event in 2018 and I believe PRAYER IS KEY to everything we say and do at Martinsburg Renew.

🪨💜 TUESDAY, RECOVERY ROCKS THE PANHANDLE 2026 BEGINS! 🫟 🎨

Throughout September, colorful messages of recovery, hope, strength, and second chances will brighten our community—and we want YOU to be part of it!

Paint a rock with an encouraging message, creative design, or symbol of recovery, then place it in one of our designated rock placement areas:

📍 Downtown Martinsburg near South Queen and East King Streets

Look for the WDRI signs marking the official rock placement locations!

Join us Saturday, September 12, from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM at the Poland Pavilion in War Memorial Park. Painting supplies, rocks, and refreshments will be provided—just bring your creativity! A kind sponsorship from A Healing Heart Counseling helped make this possible. 💜

Everyone is welcome to participate! A free registration option is available. To enter your rock in the People’s Choice Award competition, you must select the $10, $20, $25, or $50 registration option that best fits your entry category.

I’m so excited and looking forward to this event now less than a month away.
Please come out and join us. We, Martinsburg Renew will be there sharing a table and this wonderful experience with my brother Ken Kincaid. He will have copies of his recently published book, Modern-Day Psalms of Meditation.
If you have already gotten a copy of one , bring it with you and he can offer a few words of encouragement and sign it.

Fountain Fest WV is coming to Orr’s Farm Market and Pumpkin Patch on September 18–19, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. This Christian Arts and Music Festival will bring believers from across our region together to celebrate Jesus beyond denominational lines.
