Aloha! 🌸🌴 Yesterday, our friend Pam brought Hawaii to Memory Care, complete with leis for the gentleman and flowers for ladies' hair! We got into a tropical state of mind by dancing to Surfin' Safari, Tiny Bubbles, and a host of other summertime tunes! Pam always brings the fun and makes the residents feel so special!

🐾Last Friday, our four-legged friend, Luna, paid us another visit to spread smiles and grace us with her gentle spirit and golden fur! She unapologetically snuck into a balloon volleyball game to get some love and she *may* have even convinced a resident to share some of their breakfast bacon with her 🤷‍♀️- who could resist those puppy-dog eyes?! Oh Luna, we love you! 😍

Happy June!! The past couple weeks have been filled with all sorts of fun for our residents!
🎶Members of Heritage Choir were blessed to be able to perform their spring concert for our neighbors and friends at Walnut Crossing!
🍦A "sunshine singalong" trip was taken where residents sang along to '60's and '50's hits, complete with ice cream treats from Wendy's!
🌺Garden Club continued their springtime planting by filling the front entryway planters full of shade flowers donated by Dutch Mill Greenhouse!
🍓Memory Care residents made fruit salad in their Friday cooking class and explored fruits from every color of the rainbow!
✂ Card Club is busy making graduation, Father's Day and 4th of July cards!
🎵We enjoyed the music from local singers and danced along to the Twist!
🔅And now that the warmer weather is here, the entry way rocking chairs are getting good use for those that enjoy slowing down after all of the day's activities, too!
There truly is something for everyone at Heritage! 💕

Planting day has finally arrived!😍 ‍👩‍🌾🍅🌺 Although on the chilly side, residents bundled up and we got a variety of tomatoes, peppers, herbs and flowers planted! We harvested and enjoyed some of our radishes as well! The baby ducklings even joined in the fun by splashing the puddled water. Thank you to Dave on our maintenance team for building us such amazing raised garden beds! A tremendous amount of gratitude goes to Dutch Mill Greenhouse, Plain City ACE Hardware Store, and McAuliffe's ACE of Marysville for their generous flower and vegetable donations!💯
We also had the Marysville FFA back this week to demonstrate planting herb seeds and to do a bit of plant and seed trivia! Our residents love interacting with these kids and we can't wait to have them back!
We hope your gardens are bringing you as much joy as we're getting from ours! Happy planting! Heritage Garden Club - We're a Big Dill!! 🌿

A wonderful time was had this past weekend as we celebrated Mothers Day with a tea party full of tea sandwiches and cookies, homemade lemonade, and a bounty of fresh flowers! It was the perfect way for families to come spend time with their loved ones! 💕Thank you to both Caretenders Hospice and Tranquility Hospice for their generous flower donations which ensured each of the beautiful mothers and women of Heritage received a vase full of colorful flowers! 💐💐💐

This past Tuesday, we had the absolute pleasure of being visited by students in the Marysville Future Farmers of America organization, along with multiple animals that they care for! We had sheep, bunnies, a pony, a donkey, and a guinea pig, all with sweet temperaments that allowed our residents to give and receive lots of snuggles and love! The students were knowledgeable, professional, and so very kind - what a gift to have these bright teenagers in our community. Marysville FFA - Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

We're continuing to celebrate Nurses Week today! 💙💕 A big THANKS goes to Care360 Hospice for spoiling our Nurses and Med Techs with breakfast and lunch treats! We're blessed beyond measure to have both amazing partners and amazing nurses!

It's been fun, laughter, and celebration the last two weeks for Heritage residents! We welcomed the warm weather with co****le fun in the sun, the Memory Care family celebrated Earth Day with a picnic on the patio and a group painting project, and ladies of Assisted Living worked on tea cup flower arrangements in preparation of our upcoming Mother's Day tea party! Throw in the mix our usual weekly paintings, balloon volleyball and visits from Marysville Public Library and you have yourself more fun than you can shake a stick at! And it's only the beginning of our summer filled with good times! ☀
