Please meet and get to know Elizabeth!

How long have you been teaching/taking yoga?
Taking: ~8 years
Teaching: ~5 years

What’s your favorite pose and why?
- 🐪- give me a good back bend! Plot twist - even yoga teachers don’t have perfect posture all the time. Camel pose helps me open through my chest and counteracts all the hunching over I do in a lab all day.

How did you come to be a yoga teacher?
- While surviving on copious amounts of caffeine and pure panic during grad school, I was in desperate need of relaxation. Lucky for me, there was a studio down the street from my house at the time. I quickly realized that I wasn’t just trying to fix my textbook hunchback - I was starting to find balance when life got chaotic.I was bringing yoga off my mat and started feeling more grounded when everything around me felt like a fire drill. I wanted to share that sense of peace and calm with others. After a brief delay due to a pesky global pandemic, I got certified to teach in December 2021. I’ve been sharing the practice both on and off the mat ever since! I started out teaching Power/Yin and now teach Sculpt on Wednesdays!

What’s your favorite style of yoga to practice and why?
- Ooo favorite to practice - hatha/power fusion! The blend of mindful, alignment-focused endurance of hatha with the heat-building intensity of a power flow just gets me!

What is your Apple Music?
- Follow : lillizajane1424
Fav Playlist : That’s tough! Either (S) - Gemini or (S) - 🍌… or (S) - 🎆 … any of the (S) ones are bangers and will put me in a good mood even on the foulest of days.(Y) - Yindie is my happy reading/relaxing music.

Things that don't look like yoga, but actually are Pt. 6 - Santosha.

Have you ever had your expectations not met? The disappointment of that moment is overwhelming and honestly sort of destroys the entire experience all together, when in reality, it could have been something amazing all on its own.

When we practice just being in the moment and letting it be enough EXACTLY as it is, we make room for more fulfilling experiences and most of all - peace. Contentment is not a bad thing but a peaceful thing. There's not need for change, or more, or competition with one's self or a group. When more is just more. What is is enough.
