We have had some great questions asked by team and community members so we wanted to take the time to answer them so that everyone is able to benefit from CHAMP.
-Does the order have to come from the Primary Care Provider (P*P) or can other providers in the walk-in or specialty clinics provide the Rx?
~The Rx will be provided by your P*P's office. We are hopeful that this program supports a relationship with a P*P so that they may guide your overall health and wellbeing. Please contact your P*P to schedule an appointment to discuss CHAMP. Although we appreciate the enthusiasm for the program, a CHAMP prescription is not a reason for an emergency visit. Thank you for your patience as we launch this new program!
-What if the patient has a P*P in one of our off-site Maryville locations such as Savannah or Bedford?
~Those caregivers have been trained and have the materials needed to prescribe a community center membership.
-What if someone has a P*P in another Mosaic service areas?
~Please contact [email protected] or (660)562-7945 and we will work with the established P*P to manage these one-off situations.
-What are the criteria needed to be referred to the CHAMP program?
~There are no specific criteria. We want to prevent disease, and movement is one of the best ways to do that.
-Can I use the Rx in another fitness center?
~Currently, we are only partnered with Maryville Parks and Recreation for the use of the Maryville Community Center. If another fitness center is interested in and/or you would like us to contact your fitness center to inquire about participation, please let us know. We are happy to establish the same finical partnership with other fitness centers.
If you have additional questions, please reach out to Bridget Kenny ([email protected]), message this page, or comment on this post. We will continue to update this post with new questions and answers!
