Congratulations to our Emergency Department and Behavioral Health teams at Mosaic Medical Center – Maryville for receiving the Clarence Green Jr. Team Culture Award from Northwest Missouri State University.

Presented during Northwest's fall all-employee meeting, the award recognizes teams that demonstrate collaboration, trust, engagement and a shared commitment to excellence.

"President Koelliker and his emergency room team, led by Paula Goodridge, and his behavioral health unit, led by Teri Alvarez, respond to the needs of our students and employees with kind, consistent mental health care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year," said UPD Lt. Marcus Holmes during the award presentation.

We're proud of these caregivers and grateful for our partnership with Northwest as we work together to support the health and well-being of students, employees and our community.

When Kanti Havaldar, MD, recipient of the 2026 Spirit of St. Francis Award, was unable to attend last week's St. Francis Foundation Friends of the Foundation Social, his legacy was still well represented.

Nine nurses who worked alongside Dr. Havaldar attended in his honor. Together, they represent an incredible 392 years of service with him.

For nearly 50 years, Dr. Havaldar cared for generations of families throughout northwest Missouri. The lasting relationships he built with patients, colleagues and caregivers reflect the compassion, dedication and service that define the Spirit of St. Francis Award.

Congratulations, Dr. Havaldar, and thank you for your extraordinary legacy of healing, mentorship and commitment to our community.

Mosaic Medical Center – Maryville is pleased to announce the launch of complimentary valet parking services beginning September 1.

Available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., valet parking will provide patients, visitors and guests with a more convenient and accessible arrival experience. The service will be located in the Healing Garden, south of the Main Entrance, and offered through LAZ Health CARE Services.

"As we continue to enhance the patient experience, we're focused on removing barriers and making every visit as convenient as possible," said Dana Anderson, chief operating officer. "Valet parking is another way we're supporting our patients and visitors from the moment they arrive."

Guests simply pull up to the valet podium, hand their keys to an attendant and receive a text message with a vehicle retrieval link for pickup when they're ready to leave.

This service is provided at no cost to patients, visitors and guests.

On July 20 and July 22, the Community Blood Center hosted two blood drives at Mosaic Medical Center – Maryville. A total of 79 units of blood were collected.

Since one donation can help up to three patients, these donations could impact as many as 237 lives.
