When it comes to sepsis, every second counts. 🩺
Britney, DNP(c), RN, sepsis coordinator at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, transformed sepsis education into an interactive escape room experience for emergency department nurses and providers.
Designed around a realistic patient scenario, participants worked together to identify sepsis, make critical clinical decisions and complete key SEP-1 bundle elements. More than 40 team members have already participated, with overwhelmingly positive feedback.
"This wasn’t about teaching our teams something they didn’t already know; it was about making important sepsis concepts unforgettable,” Britney shared.
