We’ve had a name change 🤍

If you’ve been following along you may notice that Bloom Counseling Services is going by a new name, “Wynna Counseling Services”. This change came about as a result of unanticipated circumstances beyond our control. While this isn’t a change that was initially planned, I am choosing to embrace this as an opportunity for growth and alignment moving forward.

The name Wynna comes from the namesake of my sweet girls who have been the inspiration behind every vision that I have.

While the name of the practice has changed, the heart of this agency remains the same, continued support for women and mothers through all season of life.

This will not result in any changes to the services provided or insurance policies accepted. Thank you to everyone for your continued support and trust in the agency.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing moms out there. To the moms of littles, moms of teens, and moms of adult children. To the moms still longing to hold their future babies in their arms. To the moms who are still carrying their baby, counting down the days till they get to meet. To the moms doing it solo. To the grandmas who have successfully raised their children and get to love on their grandbabies. The world spins round every day because of mothers. May we love them, thank them, and support them not just today, but every day. ❤️

The first Wednesday of May represents Maternal Mental Health Day worldwide. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders affect 1 in 5 mothers. This number is known to be underreported due to the pressure moms feel to suffer in silence. Today aims to build awareness and acknowledge the women that carry their burdens silently. If you are struggling with your mental health, you are not alone. You are allowed to struggle and still be a good mom.

A “one year ago from today” notification popped up on my phone today. This one really got me thinking about growth and change. A year ago I brought these plants into my office, small plants with potential. Over the last year I watered them and nurtured them consistently. Over the last year the growth happened slowly, so quietly that I never actually noticed how much it was changing. A year later I can now look at the photos side by side and see how much they actually changed, how much they grew unnoticed. The same can be said about our growth and progress as people. Sometimes it’s painfully slow, but still happening. Small and consistent steps every day still carry us to where we want to be. Take a moment today to reflect on all of the quiet growth that has happened within you. You may not notice it day-by-day. But that change is happening. You are doing so much better than you notice. 🪴
