I finally got a paycheck today for working as a hospitalist at a local hospital 12 weeks ago. This is the second time I've had to remind them to pay me and waited over a month. Today is Saturday so no business is done related to accessing funds. My bank will place a hold on the check for 5 business days also - essentially, after the holidays because the banks will be closed. This "caring" community hospital is out of touch and unaccountable. I asked months ago if I could pick up shifts also... they are advertising for hospitalists actively. I could use some extra finances to help in my Dad's care. They know this. Crickets! Vulnerable And Needy Doctors Are Like Insignificant Assets to such a large corporation. There is a reason I practice independently!
