Pregnancy is an incredible journey—but it can also come with plenty of aches, discomforts, and changes along the way.

Acupuncture can be a safe and gentle way to support your body throughout pregnancy. Our entire team is trained in prenatal acupuncture, so you can feel confident knowing you’re in experienced, knowledgeable hands throughout every stage of your pregnancy.

From nausea and headaches to back pain, pelvic discomfort, stress, sleep issues, and overall relaxation, acupuncture can help you feel more comfortable and supported as your body changes.

You don’t have to just “push through” the discomfort—let us support you along the way. ✨

Dr. Caitlin’s adorable nieces would like to remind you that it’s going to be hot this week and watermelon can help! Not only is watermelon approx 92% water so it will help keep you hydrated but it’s also considered an herb we use to clear summer heat. That watermelon craving in the warm weather is your body telling you to hydrate and cool off. Plus, it’s super delicious 🍉

When most people think of acupuncture, they think of needles... and that’s fair! But acupuncture is so much more than that.

Many people are surprised to learn that your treatment may include a variety of therapies—all included in your acupuncture visit when appropriate.
Here’s what might be part of your treatment:

1. Acupuncture Needles
Of course!
• Dr. Caitlin practices with a more traditional Chinese approach.
• Dr. Stephanie incorporates a gentler Japanese style.
• Chelsea loves using trigger point techniques for muscular pain.
No matter our individual styles, we’re all trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine and tailor each treatment to what you need.

2. Cupping
Cupping helps improve circulation, reduce pain and inflammation, release muscle tension, and in Traditional Chinese Medicine, it can also help move stagnation and clear dampness from the body.

3. Energy Healing (Reiki)
When appropriate, Reiki can encourage deep relaxation, support your body’s natural healing process, and help restore energetic balance.

4. Moxa (Moxibustion)
Warm, nourishing, and incredibly comforting.
Moxa uses the herb mugwort to gently warm specific acupuncture points, improving circulation and supporting healing. While it’s well known for fertility treatments, it’s also wonderful for pain, injuries, digestive concerns, and cold conditions.

5. Shōnishin Tools
These special tools are designed just for our pediatric patients. They gently stimulate acupuncture channels without needles, making them a wonderful introduction for babies and children.

6. Red Light Therapy
A patient favorite! Red light therapy helps reduce inflammation, encourages collagen production, supports tissue repair, and may even benefit fertility.

Every treatment is customized, so not everyone needs every therapy—but they’re all available when needed. Acupuncture is about so much more than needles. It’s about treating the whole person and giving your body the tools it needs to heal.
