Using a VR headset during telehealth sessions, our therapists join clients facing situations connected to anxiety and specific phobias, while gradually adjusting the exposure based on readiness.
VR is especially useful when an exposure would otherwise be difficult, expensive, or impractical to recreate during therapy (like flying!)
We use VR exposure therapy for fears like driving, medical settings, social settings, and even OCD-related situations like contamination OCD and Harm OCD.
Mind by Design Counseling offers virtual reality exposure therapy for clients located in New Jersey.
