Congratulations to Kate Martelliti, who became the inaugural recipient of AMYAA's Ed Jamandron and Ed Sorge Legacy Award and Scholarship, presented last night at the Matawan Softball Banquet. This award honors two men who through their words and actions embodied the very best of our community. They were both volunteer AMYAA coaches, mentors, and role models to many of our daughters. Kate reflects the character that Ed Jam and Ed Sorge demonstrated every day: humility, kindness, dedication, leadership, and a commitment to others. Congrats, Kate!

We would like to invite all AMYAA athletes and families to participate in the 67th Annual Matawan Memorial Day Parade as we come together to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We’d like to share a great opportunity for our softball community to come together tomorrow evening. On Friday, May 8, 2026, the Matawan Regional High School Softball Team will be celebrating Senior Night as they take on Point Beach.

The game will begin at 6:00 PM at the Jersey Dugout Fields in Keyport (the same location as our Opening Day festivities).

This will be a special night honoring many of our former AMYAA players as they close out their high school softball careers. It’s also a great chance for our current athletes to come out, show their support, and see where their softball journey can lead.

We hope to see many of our AMYAA families there to cheer them on!

What an incredible opening night for the 2026 Recreation Softball Season! 🥎

A huge thank you to all of our athletes, parents, former recreation players, coaches, community leaders, and our amazing recreation board for making tonight so special. Your support and energy truly set the tone for an unforgettable season.

A special shoutout to our High School Seniors for the honor of throwing out the first pitch. Such a great way to celebrate the next generation of players!
