“What kind of energy are you actually working with?”
Don’t come at me 🫣 but…..let’s talk about it.
I’ve gotten versions of this question recently, especially after sharing Kundalini Activation sessions.
And I understand why.
If you’ve never experienced this kind of work before, seeing someone shaking, moving their body, crying, laughing or having a big emotional release can look intense.
But intense and negative are not the same thing.
Reiki is a Japanese energy-healing practice that I use with the intention of creating a gentle space for relaxation, balance and connection.
Kundalini is traditionally described as a form of life-force or spiritual energy within us. Experiences during activation can look incredibly different from person to person.
Some people move.
Some shake.
Some cry.
Some laugh.
Some feel warmth or tingling.
Some lie completely still.
And some experience very little physically at all.
There is no performance required and nothing needs to be forced.
And this is where I believe INTENTION matters deeply.
The practitioner matters.
The space matters.
Consent matters.
Your sense of safety matters.
Your own discernment matters.
And the intention behind the practice matters.
When I hold these sessions, my intention is not to force an experience or control someone’s energy.
It is to create a safe, grounded and judgment-free space where you have permission to reconnect with yourself and experience whatever naturally comes forward for you.
I also respect that energy work and spiritual practices aren’t for everyone.
You are allowed to question things.
You are allowed to be curious.
You are allowed to decide something isn’t for you.
But something being unfamiliar doesn’t automatically make it dark.
Sometimes understanding begins with simply getting curious before deciding what something means. 🤍
