Shirley Jane Nash, age 96, of Champaign passed away on January 3, 2026 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
A graveside service and burial will occur at Macon County Memorial Park for family and close friends at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026. With Pastor Ron Dickinson officiating. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.�
Shirley was born on June 1, 1929 in Decatur, Illinois the daughter of Clifford Entler and Thelma Entler Wilhelm.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Dale of Murrary, UT; granddaughter, Lindsey Jenson of Murrary, UT; grandson, Nicholas Dale of Champaign, IL; great-grandchildren, Zander Jensen, Zoe Jensen, Zeb Jensen and Zayla Jensen; nephews, Jeff Entler, Stuart Entler and Chris Entler all of Decatur, IL; and niece, Jennifer Garcia of San Antonio, TX.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; step-dad, Earl Wilhelm; daughter, Robin Ann Nash; brothers, Thomas Entler, Jeff Entler; and uncle, Bobby Hopkins.
Shirley lived a full and generous life, marked by creativity, compassion, and independence. She served her community as a Victims Advocate with the Sangamon County State’s Attorney’s Office and shared her artistic talent as a graphic artist for Charles Thomas Publishing Company, earlier working at Flora Jewelry. Above all, she selflessly cared for her daughter, Robin, with unwavering love and devotion. Shirley enjoyed being part of the Red Hat Ladies and cherished time spent traveling to places she loved, including Canada, Aruba, Spain, and Hawaii. She found joy in playing cards and dominos with friends, making jewelry, attending Tai Chi and fitness classes, and enjoying live theater. Independent and active, she continued driving until the age of 91. Shirley also loved dining out, shopping, watching television, spending time with family and friends, and her beloved cats.

Nancy Beth Jones, age 78, of Mattoon passed away on May 21, 2026 at her residence.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club in Mattoon. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Nancy was born on November 22, 1947 in Mattoon, the daughter of Dwain and Beth (Gammill) Knowles. She married Richard Allen Jones on December 30, 1965. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2026.
Survivors include her mother, Beth Knowles of Mattoon, IL; daughter, Vanessa (Craig) Grove of Mattoon, IL; grandchildren, Moriah (Jared) Thompson of Sidney, IL, Zachary (Amber) Grove of Bourbonnais, IL and Tristan Copsy of Mattoon, IL; great-grandchildren, Charlie Grove, Lucy Grove, Saylor Copsy and Jett Thompson; sister, Peggy Knowles Wente; brother, Scott Knowles; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Tiffany Lynn Jones and her father.
Nancy owned and operated Knowles Cafeteria in Mattoon for many years. She enjoyed reading and cross stitching. Most of all, Nancy cherished spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Richard Allen Jones, age 80, of Mattoon passed away on May 15, 2026 at his residence.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club in Mattoon. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Richard was born on November 14, 1945 in Decatur, Illinois the son of Richard N. and Leda Louise (Roney) Jones. He married Nancy Knowles on December 30, 1965. She passed away on May 21, 2026.
Survivors include his daughter, Vanessa (Craig) Grove of Mattoon, IL; grandchildren, Moriah (Jared) Thompson of Sidney, IL, Zachary (Amber) Grove of Bourbonnais, IL and Tristan Copsy of Mattoon, IL; great-grandchildren, Charlie Grove, Lucy Grove, Saylor Copsy and Jett Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tiffany Jones; and sisters, Judy Casner and Martha Lynn Jones.
Richard worked at Procter and Gamble and later owned Advantage Information Technologies. He enjoyed playing golf and making people laugh. Most of all, Richard loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Robert L. Snapp, age 91, of Bloomington, Illinois, formerly of Nashville, TN and Mt. Zion, IL, passed away on May 9, 2026 at The Villas of Hollybrook in Bloomington.
A private graveside service with Military Rites will be held at Dodge Grove Cemetery. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Robert was born on March 9, 1935 in Mattoon, Illinois the son of Cervia D. and Margaret B. (Hunt) Snapp. He married Delores Ticknor on August 3, 1958. She preceded him in death. He later married Sharon Burke on October 4, 1997.
Survivors include his daughters, Sheri (Bill) Blickhan of Monticello, IL and Sue (Steve) Seibring of Normal, IL; grandchildren, Josh (Emily) Blickhan of Hampstead, NC, Grace (Jake) Blickhan Fredericks of Plainfield, IN, Sean (Emily) Seibring of Hudson, IL, Shelby (Jason) Seibring Vincent of Bloomington, IL, Spencer Seibring of Newport Beach, CA; great-grandchildren, Colton, Josiah, Ellis, Frankie and June Blickhan; Everett and Liam Fredericks; Hadley, Easton and Hudson Seibring; and Nolan, Nyomi and Penelope Vincent. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters.
Robert graduated from Mattoon High School in 1954, lettering all 4 years in sports. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 until 1956. Robert then attended Eastern Illinois University. He was employed at Bridgestone Firestone in Decatur, Illinois until his retirement in 1995. Robert was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mount Zion, where he generously gave his time and energy to the church’s building campaign. He also shared his kindness and encouragement as a volunteer assistant coach for the YMCA girls gymnastics team, where he was honored as a Volunteer of the Year. Robert was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Most of all, Robert cherished attending his family’s activities, especially watching and cheering on his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Charles “Charlie” William Ethington, age 71, of Lerna passed away on May 8, 2026 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
Funeral services honoring his life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Haifley officiating. Burial will follow at Beals Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Charlie was born on October 1, 1954 in Mattoon, Illinois the son of Charles Thomas and Betty Jane (Redfern) Ethington. He married Beverly Allen on April 22, 1987. She preceded him in death on March 27, 2004.
Survivors include his son, Cody William Ethington (Rachael Roman) of Charleston, IL; daughter, Amy Jo (Adrian) Thomas; grandchildren, Rhea, Morgan and Kenneth; siblings, Etta Marie Walsh of Oakland, IL, Brenda (Larry) Himes of Trilla, IL, Tommy Ethington of Phoenix, AZ, Cindy Heiman of Windsor, IL, Rick (Julie) Ethington of Trilla, IL, Barry Ethington of Trilla, IL and Janie (Bob) Hildebrand of Mattoon, IL; sister-in-law, Sandy Ethington of Morristown, FL.
In addition to his wife Beverly, Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles “Charlie” William Ethington III; brother, Gary Ethington; sister-in-law, Marcia Ethington; brothers-in-law, John Heiman and Bill Walsh; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack (Norma) Allen.
Charlie was the proud owner and operator of Ethington’s Roofing for more than 30 years. Charlie was a rodeo bull rider, traveling across the United States. He loved horses and was a hardworking “good ole boy” who never met a stranger. Known for his quick wit and playful sense of humor, he could make anyone smile. Above all, Charlie cherished his family and the time he spent with them. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Mary Rozann Lynn, age 86, of Mattoon passed away on May 9, 2026 at her residence.
A graveside service honoring her life will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery in Toledo, Illinois with Pastor Ed Stephens. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mary was born on October 18, 1939 in Phoenix, Arizona the daughter of John Wesley and Mary Grace (Pugh) Ainlay. She married Harry “Wayne” Lynn on April 12, 1974.
Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Harry “Wayne” Lynn of Mattoon, IL; daughters, Tammy Rena Lynn and Lacy Rozann Lynn both of Mattoon, IL; granddaughter, Gracelin Roze Lynn.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Noble Eugene Farrier and Chad Delbert Lynn; and one brother, John Ainlay.
Mary retired from General Electric after 35 years of dedicated service. She loved to play golf in her free time and especially enjoyed playing with her three-year-old granddaughter, Gracelin. Mary will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Lloyd Arden Breningmeyer, age 90, of Charleston passed away on April 29, 2026 at Copper Creek Cottages of Mattoon.
Memorial Services honoring his life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 8975 East County Road 1200 North, Mattoon, Illinois 61938 with Pastor Daniel Ulrich officiating. Private burial will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Lloyd was born on August 28, 1935 in Metropolis, Illinois the son of Noah and Kathryn (Schoneboom) Breningmeyer. He married Nancy Donnell on July 7, 1957.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Nancy Breningmeyer; son, Doug Breningmeyer; daughter, Jody (Troy) Poole; three grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, June Fleming. Lloyd was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Landis; parents, one brother and one sister.
Lloyd lived a life defined by hard work, quiet strength, and deep faith. He served honorably in the United States Army and was station in Fort Leonard Wood and later served two years in Germany. Lloyd was a lifelong farmer and a dedicated crane operator at USI in Tuscola for 33 years. He was a true news ju**ie who enjoyed keeping up with world events. Lloyd had a passion for trading cars. Though a man of few words, when he spoke, people listened, and his good sense of humor brought smiles to those who knew him best. His final words, the Lord’s Prayer, reflected the faith that guided his life. Lloyd will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Copper Creek Cottages for the care, kindness, and compassion shown to Lloyd during his stay.

George W. Reynolds II, age 77, of Neoga, IL passed away on April 28, 2026 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center with his loving wife Mary at his side.

George was born on August 31, 1948 in Charleston, Illinois the son of George W. and Reba Marie “Bobbi” (Childress) Reynolds. He married Mary Hess Harris on May 23, 2003.
Survivors include wife, Mary ‘Cait Reynolds of Neoga, IL; sons, Kevin Reynolds of Decatur, IL and George W. (Angela) Reynolds of Decatur, IL; daughter, Jaime Reynolds of AZ; stepson, Nathan (Brittney) Harris of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Levi (Tracey) Hankins of Gwenneth, GA, Kyle (Krista) Bradshaw of Decatur, IL, Kreston Reynolds of Onalaska, WI, Haylee Reynolds of Decatur, IL and Brayden Fromm-Reynolds of Decatur, IL; step-grandchildren, Payton Harris and Parker Harris of Houston, TX; sister, Dorothy Cruse of Lorena, TX; brothers, Harry J. George attended Charleston schools and later worked as a roofer for Blair Roofing in Charleston. He worked for many years as maintenance manager for the Pinellas County School District in Largo, Florida until his retirement.
George enjoyed life with his loving wife and sidekick, Mary, and their little dog, Bailey. He had many friends near and far. He loved dogs, motorcycles, drag racing, traveling, politics and the history channel. George was a member of Charleston Eagles Club. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Sandra Kay Kremer, age 56 of Mattoon, Illinois, passed away on April 27, 2026.
Funeral services honoring her life will take place at 1p.m. On Wednesday May 6, 2026 at Schilling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11a.m until the time of service on Wednesday.
She was born on July 29, 1969, to Rosemary (Henson) Bickers and Phillip R. Bickers. Though once a shy child, Sandy grew into a confident and strong-willed woman who was never afraid to speak her mind. She believed in honesty and made sure the people she loved always knew how she felt and where they stood in her life.
Sandy was deeply sentimental and treasured the special keepsakes that reminded her of the people and pets she loved most. She had a contagious laugh that could light up any room and never missed the chance to share a good long story with family and friends. Her loyalty to her family was unwavering—no matter the circumstance, she was always there when the chips were down.
She also enjoyed her favorite television shows, especially Miami Vice and All My Children, and loved them so much that she named one of her daughters after Erica Kane. These simple joys brought her happiness and became part of the stories and memories her family will always cherish. She was a proud Girls Scout leader and loved the Chicago Cubs.
Sandy was a believer of Jesus Christ, and her faith shaped the way she loved others. She had a special compassion for people in need and for those grieving the loss of loved ones, always offering comfort, kindness, and support. Her generous heart and caring spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years,Carl Kremer; her children, Erika Kremer and Eric Kremer; her siblings, Angie( Bickers)Farr, Roger Bickers, Tony Bickers, Trina( Bickers) Smith, and Tim Bickers; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved firstborn child, Alisha Rose Kemper; her brother, Terry Lee Bickers; her father, Phillip R. Bickers; her maternal grandparents, Iris(Doherty) and Leroy Henson; her paternal grandparents, Alma( Blythe)Bickers and Doyle Bickers; and her beloved dog, Snuggles.
We can never truly say goodbye to you, because we know we will meet again when God brings us together once more. Until that day, your love, laughter, and memory will remain forever in our hearts.
