Patricia "Patsy" Crouch

Patricia "Patsy" Joyce Watkins Crouch of Mayfield went home to be with her Lord and Savior on 09/24/26. She was 86 years old.

She was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Mary Lou Watkins of Pryorsburg and her daughter Pamela J Crouch Langston (Darren) of Mayfield.

She was a member of Hickory Baptist Church since 1960.Patsy was a homemaker and co-owner of Vintage Depot Antiques in Mayfield with her husband, Jerry.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jerry David Crouch. One brother, Charles Watkins of Pryorsburg and two children: David Lynn Crouch (Elyce) of Mayfield and Tony D. Crouch (Deena) of Florida. She has eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00PM Sunday, September 27, 2026 at the Trace Creek Cemetery in Mayfield, KY. No visitation is scheduled, friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service. Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY is in charge of the arrangements.

Family asks that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital. The family of Patsy would like to express their sincere gratitude to Compassus Hospice, the Golden Years Home Care and Providence Pointe for their tender love and care during this difficult time.

Lloyd Dee Andreasen

Lloyd Dee Andreasen, age 76, of Mayfield, KY passed away Monday, September 21, 2026 at the Green Acres Healthcare in Mayfield, KY.

He was retired from the Kentucky Highway Departnment and formerly worked at Youngblood's True Value. Lloyd was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley (John) Grell of Mayfield, KY; one son, Tim Andreasen of Mayfield, KT; one brother, Thomas "Ricky" (Darlene) Andreasen of Mayfield, KY; two sisters, Dianne (Forrest) Ivy of Mayfield, KY and Tina Rucker of Murray, KY; four grandchildren also survive.

Lloyd was preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd Lee Andreasen, Kenneth Wayne Andreasen, and Phillip Andreasen; parents were Norman and Margaret Beadles Andreasen.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the Northside Baptist Church in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Forrest Ivy will officiate. A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 AM Until 1:00 PM Saturday September 26, 2026 at the Northside Baptist Church.

It's apple season — time to bring out family apple recipes and enjoy fresh, crunchy apples! Apples are among the most versatile fruits to cook with. Apples pair well with pork. Pansy Murdock Whitlow

Mrs. Pansy Murdock Whitlow, age 97, of Mayfield passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Green Acres Healthcare in Mayfield, KY.

She was a member of Sedalia Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Mrs. Whitlow is survived by two sons, Larry Whitlow and Gary Whitlow both of Sedalia, KY; two daughters, Marilyn (Billy) Kinsey and Martha (Greg) Boyd both of Sedalia, KY; seven grandchildren, Todd Kinsey, Tennille Kinsey, Lora Searcy, Leslie Williams, Ashley Shartzer, Travis Whitlow and Alli Duncan; and five great grandchildren, Madison Madding, Alayna Searcy, Zander Searcy, Hoyt Shartzer and Hunt Shartzer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Whitlow; one daughter, Pamela Jean Duncan; three sisters, Ruth Jones, Nell Waters and Gracie Brooks; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Murdock.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pansy Murdock Whitlow will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Spence Pate will officiate. Interment will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Todd Kinsey, Dylan Williams, Travis Whitlow, Patrick Shartzer, Tony Searcy and Mark Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Boyd, Billy Kinsey and Mike Duncan.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Byrn Funeral Home.

Continuing with tips for World Alzheimer's Month, we'd like to address driving safety. It is difficult to know when a person is no longer safe to drive. A dementia diagnosis may result in orders not to get behind the wheel, but families and friends of aging adults can watch for some signs of decline. One group of indications includes uncertainty about directions, getting lost, or forgetting their destination. Driving is a very complex skill requiring excellent attention and responsiveness. Pay attention to whether your older adult struggles with these tasks and seek a doctor's help if the signs add up.
