NAMI Kentucky: Buffalo Trace Affiliate Join us the 2nd Tuesday at 6:00pm in the Mason County Public Library. We meet the second Tuesday each month at 6:00pm in the Mason County Public Library.

NAMI is the "National Alliance on Mental Illness" and this is the official page of the Buffalo Trace Affiliate servicing the counties of Lewis, Mason, Fleming, Bracken, and Robertson. NAMI Ky. Buffalo Trace Affiliate aligns our goals with that of NAMI Ky. The families and members of NAMI Kentucky are here to help! We offer understanding to anyone concerned about mental illnesses and the treatment

of mental illness. Mental illnesses are brain disorders that are biologically based medical problems. Untreated, they can cause severe disturbances in thinking, feeling and relating. This results in substantially diminished capacity for dealing with the ordinary demands of life. Mental illness can affect persons of any age and occur in any family. They are not caused by bad parenting and not evidence of weakness of character. Mission:
Dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with mental illness and their families through support, education and advocacy. Our Goals:
Advocate at the county, state and national levels for non-discriminatory access to quality healthcare, housing, education and employment for people with mental illness. Educate the public about mental illness. Work to eliminate the stigma of mental illness. Advocate for increased funding for research into the causes and treatment of mental illness. Our Vision:
In our envisioned future mental illness will no longer thwart a person’s fulfillment of his or her potential. With early pinpoint diagnoses, interventions and targeted medications and services there is no pervasive disability. Ultimately, we envision a day when prevention or a cure is found.

Our Su***de Prevention Awareness Event Speaker’s family 🥲. She gave such a powerful testimony last year.

After seven incredible years, the 2026 Brothers’ Run will be our final race, and the Brothers’ Run Foundation will come to a close at the end of 2026.

We began in 2019 with no expectations—only a desire to honor Mason and Ethan and provide hope, support, and connection to our community.

We never imagined what this community would become. Together, we’ve created a place for compassion, conversation, remembrance, and hope.

After losing Myra in 2021, this mission became even more personal. Every race has helped us honor Mason, Ethan, and Myra while reminding others that they are not alone.

We believe it is time to celebrate what we’ve created together and bring this chapter to a meaningful close.

Join us September 12 for one final Brothers’ Run.

One more race. One more finish line. One incredible community. ❤️

Did you know Kentucky’s IPS Supported Employment program has grown from 6 counties in 2010 to 82 of Kentucky’s 120 counties today? The program has served 33,150 individuals since 2010. 🎉
