EXERCISE CAUTION IN THE AREA THIS MORNING

Lewis County Emergency Management is receiving reports of trees down across roadways and scattered storm damage following the storm system that moved through the area overnight.

Road crews, utility personnel, first responders, and public works employees are actively working to clear debris, restore power, and assist affected residents.

If you must travel this morning, please use caution. Watch for downed trees, debris in roadways, and utility crews working along roads and in affected areas. Slow down, stay alert, and give crews plenty of room to work safely.

If you encounter a hazardous situation, report it to Lewis County Dispatch at 606-796-0982 or 606-202-7324. Do not approach downed power lines. Always assume they are energized and dangerous.

We appreciate everyone's patience as crews work to address storm-related issues across the county.
