Congratulations to William Small, Jr., MD, FACRO, FACR, FASCO, FASTRO, director of the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center and vice president of Oncology for Trinity Health’s Illinois/Indiana Region, which includes Loyola Medicine and Saint Joseph Health System, for being named president of the American Radium Society, the nation’s oldest multidisciplinary cancer society devoted to the study and treatment of cancer.

Founded in 1916, the American Radium Society brings together leaders in radiation oncology, surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology and medical oncology to advance cancer care through collaboration, education and research. Dr. Small’s appointment reflects his national and international leadership in oncology and his longstanding commitment to improving outcomes for patients with cancer.
