Last week was such a whirlwind. It took us six years to get to this point, and while the groundbreaking was over in just 30 minutes, it represented a monumental milestone for all of us.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who got us to this point. We truly could not have done this without the dedicated support of our local politicians, Julia Cares Volunteer Group, generous donors, Board of Directors and Board of Advisors, JHPC Finance Committee, and everyone who helped in any way.

But this is just the beginning. We need to continue spreading the word that care for our older population is lacking. In Erie County, this demographic has increased by 19% over the past 10 years and will continue to grow. We need better care and more options for care, and the groundbreaking for Julia House represents only the start of this vital mission.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Julia House groundbreaking! It was a truly memorable experience that we will cherish forever. We are very excited to start building so that we may bring this service to our Erie community.

The afternoon was made special by our donors, Board of Directors, volunteers, County Executive Christina Vogel, Senator Dan Laughlin, and everyone who has supported us along this long journey.
