He makes our Crooked paths straight!!!
Don’t let your past define your future!!!

Jesus restores and redeems – “He makes crooked paths straight”. I heard this word early the other morning as I was praying. I heard it in the context of, once again, being accused and condemned by satan for what I did or said in my ‘past life’. I know better – I have been forgiven and redeemed by the blood of Jesus shed for me on the cross. I have repented and am now a much different (and better) person than I was in that past life, thanks to the work of the Holy Spirit. But still, sometimes the enemy sneaks up on me in those early morning moments and speaks the ancient words of accusation, “You are a rotten person. Be ashamed. You are not enough!” (and notice how satan’s accusations are always general. If the Holy Spirit needs to convict me of sin, He will be specific). Satan always condemns; the Holy Spirit convicts. There is a difference — one leads to death; through repentance, the other leads to life.

Generally, I know what to speak. I say, “I come out of agreement with that spirit of condemnation or accusation. The Lord rebuke you.” But sometimes that wave of shame is so strong that I sit still for a few seconds before I go on the offensive. It was in a moment like that when the words, fully formed, appeared in my mind – “I make crooked paths straight!

“I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and the crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them” (Isaiah 42: 16 NKJV).

The scarlet thread of redemption is woven all thru scripture. It is a beautiful depliction of Gods mercy , redemption, sacrifice, and rescue. I was having coffee and looked under my foot and seen a red string. So I’d like to share with you what God showed me.
Look up the story of Rahab the harlot in Joshua 3:1-17.

From her act of obedience God used a harlot to assist the Israelites in victory and only her household was spared. Just like the Passover blood, the Red Sea, every time you see God rescuing it’s red to show us it’s only by the blood. 🩸 it’s Christs blood that takes away our sins and atones for our mistakes, nothing else will work. He can use you too.
Don’t disqualify yourself from being used mightily by God because of your past. Just let the scarlet thread of his love take by away that sin and weave you a new life. It was Christs sacrifice on the cross and shedding of his blood that rescues us just like Rahab. We don’t have to be slave to our sin anymore and will be spared. She was willing to let the spies of Israel stay on her rooftop , risking her safety and her life, but she was willing to trust in the one true Gid for salvation. she had heard about the Red Sea and how their God rescued from Egypt. She started to believe in the one true God. From a Red Sea to a red scarf made of scarlet thread her hope was put in The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Israel as you know attacked Jericho killing everyone except rahabs family when they seen the red scarf hanging from her window they knew not to kill them. Her whole household was spared. She wasn’t just a harlot, look how Gid forgave her and used her. But in the end she was saved by the scarlet thread.
Ultimately, Rahab married Salmon, an Israelite from the tribe of Judah. Her son was Boaz, the husband of Ruth. Joseph, the legal father of Jesus, is her direct descendant. He will rescue you just say Jesus save me. Jesus I know I’m a sinner and I need your blood to wash me clean. I will serve you and walk with you all my days.

I’m Raising a battle cry!!! I’m taking back what the enemy stole from me. I got the power of the Holy Ghost! The devil don’t own my soul. He owes me with interest. I won’t be stolen from or let him take Gods blessings from me. Gods promises to me for a future, a faithful Christian wife, a family, a career, a future. It’s all coming back in Jesus name!!!!

So many apps, so many things to scroll, so many things to do, so many worry’s in our minds, anxiety is calling, pressure mounting, life is happening and responsibilities are needing attention. Priorities are something as well as boundaries I’m learning. My first and foremost responsibility and desire has to be to please my father God and seek him and his kingdom.

Matthew 6:33

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Devote first fruits and first hour of the day to pursuing the heart of God. Seeking what he desires His will and plans for your life. Humbly come to him and devote. It isn’t based on if you feel like it or not letting anything distract from running into his arms first. Get in his word put in calming worship music and then pray. 🙏 have a prayer list to keep you focused, have a set time that you will put in and not scroll or loose focus or a text come in or attention from anyone get you from getting what you need from God. Just done pointers for us out there who suffer from mental health, adhd, anxiety, 😬 or raving thoughts, bi polar symptoms. This is better than any medicine I’ve ever been prescribed by doctor. But I still take my meds and go to my therapist, and use wisdom. Whoever you are out there reading this. God loves you, and Hesus is calling you today to spend time with him. Start a new routine today and journal in a book your thoughts feelings emotions prayers your needs and desires will come into focus when you focus on him.
