Protect the hearing you have today. 👂🦺
October is Hearing Protection Month, a reminder that repeated exposure to loud noise—from machinery and power tools to concerts, headphones, and everyday activities—can cause permanent hearing damage over time.

The good news? Noise-induced hearing loss is often preventable. Wear proper hearing protection when you’re around loud environments, keep your listening volume at a safe level, and give your ears a break from prolonged noise.

If you’ve noticed a decrease in your hearing, consider having it checked. Sam’s Club offers hearing tests at participating Hearing Aid Centers, and Costco offers hearing tests for members at participating Hearing Aid Centers.
Your hearing is worth protecting—because once permanent hearing damage occurs, it can’t simply be restored. ❤️👂

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, South Texas Sinus Institute joins the fight by helping raise awareness and standing in support of everyone whose life has been touched by breast cancer.
We honor the survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and stand beside those who are still fighting—as well as the families, friends, caregivers, and healthcare professionals walking alongside them.

This PA Week, we’re proud to celebrate Blake Hensler, PA-C, and more than two decades of dedication to our patients and practice.
For 23+ years, Blake has worked alongside Dr. Vincent Honrubia, helping care for thousands upon thousands of patients throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Over the years, his extensive clinical experience, vast knowledge of otolaryngology, and commitment to patient care have made him an invaluable part of South Texas Sinus Institute.

His contributions extend far beyond the exam room. Blake’s knowledge, experience, and longstanding collaboration with Dr. Honrubia have played an important role in the care STSI has provided to generations of patients.
