“From Trauma to Transformation: Reclaiming Peace, Power, and Possibility”
With more than 35 years of experience in behavioral health services throughout the Rio Grande Valley, Ms. Leo brings a wealth of clinical knowledge, compassion, and experience to this important conversation.
Ms. Leo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor. Throughout her distinguished career, she has served individuals and families in inpatient and outpatient settings, nonprofit and governmental agencies, and institutions of higher education.
For the past 16 years, Ms. Leo has served with the Department of Veterans Affairs Texas Valley Coastal Bend, including roles as Social Work Supervisor and, most recently, Senior Clinical Social Worker providing individual, family, and group therapy to Veterans and their families.
She is also the owner of Mariposa Wellness Center, PLLC in McAllen, Texas, where she provides specialized clinical services to couples, women, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lucia is the proud mother of four adult children and Nana to her grandson, Cristian. 💜
Her presentation, “From Trauma to Transformation,” will focus on moving beyond the impact of trauma and empowering survivors to reclaim their peace, personal power, hope, and possibilities for the future.
