I've only seen these one time. I was hiking with the grandkids at Blue Rock State Park. They really are amazing,!

I found some ghost pipes 🍂✨️

Ghost Pipe 🍂
Unlike most plants, Ghost Pipe contains no chlorophyll, which gives it its unusual pale, almost translucent appearance. Instead of relying on sunlight and photosynthesis for energy, it gets nutrients through an underground relationship with fungi connected to tree roots. This allows it to appear even in deeply shaded forests so despite its ghostly mushroom like appearance, ghost Pipe isn’t a fungus at all...
It’s a flowering plant and a relative of blueberries and other members of the heath family.
Basically, the forest decided to grow its own ghosts. I'm a fan of these ♡
