The big question I hear from Christian counselors: Can I practice my faith AND stay inside my professional ethical standards?

The answer is YES — and this workshop shows you exactly how.

"Ethical Strategies for Christian Integration in Counseling" is happening June 19, 2026, online. We'll work through how to use a Christian integration approach that keeps you inside ACA and AMHCA ethical standards while fulfilling your calling to love your neighbor well.

Here's what we'll cover:
- Barnett and Johnson's 9-stage ethical decision-making model (promoted by ACA) — with live case study practice
- Ethical codes for ACA, AMHCA, and NASW
- The 5 views of Psychology and Christianity from Greggo and Sisemore
- Strategies for introducing Christian-oriented spirituality without imposing beliefs
- A Christian-Integrated Trauma Model as a practical integration tool
- Small group discussions throughout the day

6 CE hours (Ethics or CORE) approved by LPCA-GA.

Early bird rate: $85 — only until June 13! After that, the price goes up to $125. Register this week to lock in your spot.

Date: June 19, 2026 | Time: 8:45 AM – 3:45 PM | Online

We are now able to offer medication services to our clients in our McDonough office!
We are pleased to welcome Wendy Howard Coots, MSN, MBA, APRN, PMHNP-BC to Eagle’s Landing Christian Counseling Center!

Wendy earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Emory University in 1996 and has more than 25 years of experience as a Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner. She practiced over a decade in internal medicine before moving into healthcare information technology, where for nearly 20 years she has supported a variety of clinical care settings, including a focused emphasis on behavioral health and integrated care over the past seven years.

In 2023, responding to both a professional and spiritual calling, Wendy returned to school to pursue her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification. She completed her post-graduate training at Georgia College & State University in 2025 and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Wendy works collaboratively with our counseling team to provide thoughtful, evidence-based medication management when appropriate. She is passionate about whole-person wellness—caring for the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of each client’s life—and views this work as both a profession and a ministry.

Please join us in welcoming Wendy to the ELCCC family!

Important Announcement

Friends,
ELCCC was co-founded in 2002 by Terry Hash and me while we were both serving at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church. In 2007, we stepped out in faith and became our own independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and I assumed the role of Executive Director. At that time, we had only a handful of counselors—most of them not yet licensed—and a very big calling.

With God’s grace, provision, and steady direction, ELCCC has grown into a team of more than 25 providers. Over the years, counselors have come and gone, each following God’s leading into new seasons and assignments. That is the nature of Kingdom work—rooted, yet always responsive.

After 43½ years in the counseling field, I now find myself at a holy crossroads.

After much prayer, discernment, and thoughtful reflection, I have decided to step down as Executive Director and pass that responsibility to someone I deeply trust and respect: Shante Fluker, who has been serving as Associate Director for the past 8 months.

Let me be clear—I am not retiring, and I am NOT leaving ELCCC.
I have committed to serve for the next three years as Clinical Director, continue serving on the board, see my clients, and supervise and mentor counseling students and interns. In this next season, I will also be devoting significant time to writing, researching, and further developing the Christian-integrated trauma model God has entrusted to me.

This is not an ending.

It is a transition.

A widening of lanes.

A faithful passing of leadership while remaining fully present.
Please join me in welcoming and supporting my friend and colleague, Shante Fluker, as she steps into this role. I am confident in her leadership, her integrity, and her heart for this work.

Thank you for walking this journey with me—for trusting the process, honoring the past, and stepping forward with hope.
With gratitude and faith,
Denice Colson, Ph.D.
