Officer Gonzalo Carrasco was fatally shot in the 2600 Block of Pine Street in Selma around 11:45 a.m.

Around 11:45 am on Tuesday, a homeowner flagged down a Selma Police officer patrolling the 2600 block of Pine Street regarding a man being on her property. As the officer went to make contact, the man fired several shots, striking the officer.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family, as well as Selma, CA Police Department.

End of Watch. Master Patrol Officer, Clarence "CJ" Williams of the Cairo, Georgia Police Department. 01/28/23. Williams died while assisting another officer during a foot pursuit. Full details of the incident have not yet been released.

Set healthy boundaries.

It's the holiday season and a lot of times we want to please everyone and make everyone else happy. But are you taking care of yourself? Are you at peace? Are you happy?

Remove yourself from situations that are triggering or people who are triggering and negative.

You earned it. You owe it to yourself to be freed from that.

No event, situation, or person is ever worth more than your mental health.

Happy Thanksgiving! Our thoughts and prayers are with those sacrificing their time away from their families and loved ones so that we can all enjoy this evening with ours. To all the spouses, children, parents and loved ones of our first responders and military; WE SEE YOU and WE THANK YOU. Praying God bring you peace and that ALL OUR HEROES MAKE IT HOME SAFE TODAY.

To all those feeling hurt or a loss during this season, we are praying that God bring you peace and hope for a better tomorrow. You will get through this.
