I ask women about their hormones all the time.

Most of them say the same thing: fine. No drama. Nothing major. Fine.

And I understand why. Fine feels like good news. Fine means nothing is wrong.

But fine doesn’t tell you what’s happening in your bones right now. Or your joints. Or your skin collagen. Or your stress response. Or your mood five years from now.

I wrote the page for the woman who thinks she’s in the clear. Link in comments.

I tried collagen once before. It tasted like dirt. After about a year it started tearing up my stomach. And the company kept going out of stock for months at a time.

So I gave up on collagen supplements entirely.

Then I found one backed by 25 clinical studies. Formulated around six dimensions of support — not just skin. Joints. Bones. Gut lining. Mood. Cortisol. And skin.

I knew it was working when my elbow did.

Full story at the link in comments. If you've been thinking about collagen but weren't sure what to actually look for — this is the post (and it comes with codes).

If you loved The Rootist at Sephora — or you've been wanting to try it — it hasn't gone away.

It's now sold exclusively through Amare Brand Partners. Same formulas. Same patent-pending Rootbiomic K-beauty science. Just a different place to find it.

I've been using it for 18 months. I went from washing my hair every single day to every three days. For someone with very thick hair that was a big deal.

Full story — including what actually changed and how to find the right products for your hair — at the link in comments.

Something feels off. And you can’t quite explain it.

It’s not dramatic. It’s not one clear thing.

It’s a quiet shift away from the version of yourself you’re most comfortable being.

I wrote a letter for the woman who’s been carrying this quietly. Who hasn’t had anywhere to say it out loud yet.

Link in bio. And if it lands? Write back. I read every response. 👑

Somewhere along the way, women start accepting things they were never meant to normalize.

-- Being exhausted all the time.
-- Never sleeping deeply.
-- Feeling bloated for no clear reason.
-- Snapping at people more easily.
-- Forgetting words.
-- Feeling emotionally flat.
-- Not really caring about much anymore.

Most women assume it’s “just stress,” “just hormones,” “just aging,” or simply the cost of being busy for too many years. But here’s the thing I wish more women understood:

Stress changes the way women participate in life.

Card No. 23 in the Midlife Royalty Truisms series — from the Land of Crowns & Chaos, where irritability is a symptom, not a character flaw. 👑

When cortisol stays elevated, your patience has a shorter runway. That’s not you being difficult. That’s your nervous system asking for support.

Tag someone who gets it. Drop a 👑 if this is your current era.

She was calling for a fire and then throwing open the windows.

Sending dishes back to the kitchen — not because anything was wrong with them, but because nothing tasted right.

Changing her clothes twice a day. Forgetting the ball she was supposed to be planning.

She was the queen they all admired. And she was disappearing inside herself.

Hormonal symptoms in women over 40 don’t always look like what you expect. Sometimes they look like this.

Story time from the Land of Crowns & Chaos.

I needed a back up plan because the way I was handling stress certainly wasn’t helping. Climbing out of burnout and reaching for something I was excited about was two different kids of stress. Ever been there before?

Sparkling waters, kombucha finds, mocktail ingredients, and supportive wellness routines became part of my daily stress support system long before I realized how much stress was truly affecting my body and my capacity to go all-in.

See first comment for “From Dr Pepper to Kombucha to Happy Juice Frosties …” to learn about functional mocktails for stress relief.

Winter blues in women often go deeper than the grey skies.

It's not always sadness. Sometimes it's just... flatness. The carrying. The waiting to feel like yourself again.

Emily had been living with it all winter. She almost walked past The Happy Juice Stop.

She's glad she didn't.
