I’m expanding my availability to include Tuesday and Thursday appointments, effective immediately! 🎉

Adding these days means a little more flexibility for families looking for personalized, one-on-one pediatric speech and language therapy in the McKinney, Prosper, Allen, and northeast Frisco areas.

Whether your child is working on speech sounds, language development, early communication, or feeding, my goal remains the same: individualized, evidence-based therapy provided in the environment where your child is most comfortable.

Speech and language are not the same thing.
A child can:
✔️ Say lots of words but struggle to understand directions.
✔️ Understand everything but have difficulty making sounds.
✔️ Speak clearly but have trouble telling a story or answering questions.
Speech is how we say words.
Language is how we understand and use them.
Knowing the difference helps families know what support their child may need.
Every child develops differently, but concerns deserve thoughtful answers—not internet guesswork.
I'm always happy to help parents understand what they're seeing.

People are often surprised by how prevalent is. Sharing to raise awareness about dysphagia that likely has impacted someone you know in a profound way.

Did you know dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) affects as many as 15 million Americans — and can impact people of all ages? From stroke survivors and people with Parkinson’s disease to head & neck cancer survivors and older adults, swallowing disorders are more common than most realize.

Dysphagia can lead to serious complications including malnutrition, dehydration, aspiration pneumonia, and reduced quality of life.

This Dysphagia Awareness Month, help us raise awareness by sharing this post, starting conversations, and helping others learn the signs and impact of swallowing disorders. 💙

Early support can make a meaningful difference - and an evaluation does not always mean therapy is needed. Sometimes, parents simply benefit from guidance, reassurance, and strategies to support fluency and communication at home.
