One of the most common things we see every year?

The August rush.

Schedules fill up, things feel rushed, and parents are trying to check off one more thing before school starts.

What we tell our families is simple:

Don’t wait.

Early summer visits tend to be:
✔️ Easier to schedule
✔️ Less rushed
✔️ More time for questions and concerns

Whether your child needs a school or sports physical, getting it done early makes everything smoother.

If you’re already part of our practice—we’d love to see you.

And if you’re new and looking for a pediatrician, we’re always happy to help.

We went to a trampoline park today…

And yes… I’m a pediatrician who knows what the AAP says about trampolines 😅

Here’s the honest truth:

👉 Trampolines are fun
👉 Kids LOVE them
👉 And they’re also a very real source of injuries

The American Academy of Pediatrics actually recommends avoiding recreational trampoline use because of the risk of fractures, concussions, and even serious neck injuries.

So what do you do as a parent?

If your child is going to jump, here’s how to make it safer:

• One jumper at a time (this is HUGE)
• No flips or somersaults
• Supervise closely
• Avoid mixing big kids and little kids
• Be extra cautious with younger children

I’m not here to shame parents—just to help you make informed decisions.

Because most injuries I see… are preventable.
