Here is my length and corners. Do you have enough length to go around a corner. The sensory nerves are heavily embedded in the SKIN. If you do not have enough skin length you can have pain, swelling, stiffness, tightness, weakness and slow guarded movement. Free up the skin before you do ROM and you will see amazing outcomes!

Signs from the universe!!
So my wonderful friend Suzanne Carigiannis ( from Adelaide) recently lost her beloved Vizsla dog “Gracie” She was so heart broken she almost didn’t come to Switzerland for the FESSH/ IFSHT. Gracie went to work everyday to help the hand patients heal, and when she passed the whole community who knew her was heartbroken.
So when we were in Basel chatting over a cup of tea, Suzanne said a friend contacted a breeder and she might 2 dogs available- a 2 boy and 4 yo girl- the girl would be better to be a clinic dog (Gracie was only around 4 yo if I remember correctly)
We talked it over with excitement encouraging her to look into it further.
Was it too soon? Was she crazy with such a broken heart to think about getting another dog.
Well the universe had already decided!!
So we got changed and headed to the conference still talking about Gracie, shedding a few tears amongst us as we walked.
Unfamiliar with the tram we missed the first one, so we hurried to another tram just up the street. As we sat and waited still chatting, we all turned our heads to see a person cross the road in front of us walking a Vizsla! We had seen no other dogs at all, and this was first one we see in Basel?!?
These dogs are very rare. I have only seen a few in my lifetime.
What are the chances- it was the FIRST sign!
We got excited 😊 and reflected on the marvelous coincidence. Just amazing.
Suzanne got in touch with the people in Australia to find out more about the dogs. Turns out the female that maybe available is called “Allie” we definitely laughed about that coincidence.
Suzanne left to go visit a friend in the mountains of Switzerland and went to dinner a few days later…when she sat down in walked 2 Vizslas and both sat on either side of her.
Her friend Beu told her that she has eaten at the restaurant for years and never seen these dogs.
As she is messaging me this, I was in Frankfurt, and a man with a Vizsla walks by me almost immediately as I get her message.
And then today Suzanne sends me this picture of this beautiful dog she met while walking in Lugano… another Vizsla! 4 dogs in 4 different places. Basel, Mountains of Switzerland , Frankfurt and Lugano
The signs are all around us…
To quote my very mystical grandmother
“ It’s marvelous really”
I will let you know if she gets “Allie” or another 🐕 when she gets back to Australia 🇦🇺!
Go Socceroos!!

So here is my question… when someone like Daniel Dempsey,
(who you do not know) writes this comment on your thermal imaging post
how do you respond?

1. What a “wanker”
2. Sorry I challenged your fragile ego
3. Maybe you have very little knowledge of this topic and would like to learn more
4. Wow you are rude.
5. I do actually use this modality daily and it is very helpful. We have actually published 2 articles on this - would you like me to share these with you
6. What a “wanker”
7. What a shame you think so much of yourself to trash other health professionals posts online without a reason?!
8. Please tell us why you disbelieve this approach and how you treat the sensory nervous system better- since you appear to have such strong opinions.
9. Do you go around regularly insulting other hand therapist post?
10. OR-should I stop wasting my time and just block him?
Please feel free to give me advice.
Pick a number… and we will take the consensus!!!
I am trying to be a better person and am always willing to grow!
In the words of Kerry Underwood “ Post and ghost” 👻… but these wankers are just hard to ignore sometimes- 😝
😂
Luv ya all “ CCCC” forever!

CRPS is preventable but early recognition is vital.
Here is my poster that I hope Therapists, Surgeons, Physician Assistants and ER Nurses and Doctors get to see!
The patient history is familiar, they had extreme pain post surgery, no one listened when they called. No one changed the cast.
Crush injuries, infections, trauma with nerve compressions, dressings adherent to the skin, ace bandages that crushed the hand.
The story is the SAME.
Then add aggressive therapy, long term dynamic splints, no pharmacology intervention and the patient presentation becoming problematic…
Are we creating CRPS?? Yes!!
Did we mean to create it? No!!
Being proactive is the best way to prevent CRPS! Respect the patient. Empower with knowledge and listen when they reach out!!!

This patient came in during lunch when I was in Austria. He had 15 years of back pain and a recent hand injury with a drill! My thermal imaging camera was amazing at helping us problem solve his issues.
He had pain with sitting which resolved and we also helped his hand pain( see other video)
He had multiple rounds of therapy for his back - but not one assessed the skin and sensory nerves.
It was wonderful to help him be able to sit and move without pain and hopefully change his life going forward!!

Thoughts on CRPS, Phantom limb pain, tremors and central sensitization. My question is?
1. Does the brain store information that we can not change and just adapt to?
2. Or is it chronically getting an endless peripheral signal, that just looks like it is a central problem?
I would say #2
People study this endlessly- but what I see is not one tries to manipulate the message the brain is receiving.
If you find the nerve( sensory or motor- or both) that is firing a constant signal to the brain … or even block the signal from making it to the brain ( peripheral nerve stimulation) maybe we will find that you can reduce or eliminate long term pain and restore function.

Do you have a TREMOR in your hand after injury or surgery?
Have you been told you have essential tremor, dystonia or possibly early onset Parkinson’s???
Well I would challenge all of those things!
If you did not have a tremor prior to injury the issue is not in your BRAIN 🧠!
The skin and scars are responsible for so many things!

So I discovered the smart board in 🇦🇹 and had so much fun drawing on my videos to explain SCARS!
Here is a snippet from TWP and why people have pain due to SCARS!
