I love Saturday morning rounds, especially when they’re like today.

There’s nothing better than walking into a patient’s room and seeing them smiling, feeling good, and already up moving around after a complex operation we’ve been planning for months.

Mornings like today remind me why I love what I do. Helping people through difficult operations that can truly change their lives never gets old. Seeing a great result after a challenging day in the OR is a pretty kick-butt way to start a Saturday.

Success like this doesn’t happen by chance.

The right tool can change a life—but only when someone has the courage, commitment, and consistency to put that tool to work.

When I first met Jared over two years ago, we worked together to find the operation that best fit his situation. What happened afterward is the part that deserves the most recognition: he embraced the process, made lasting changes, and stayed committed day after day.

His transformation is remarkable, but what inspires us even more is the discipline, resilience, and determination behind it. Surgery is a powerful tool, but it’s what you do with that tool that truly changes your life.

Jared, thank you for allowing me—and now all of us at Inspire Bariatrics—to be part of your story. We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve accomplished, and we hope your success inspires others to believe that meaningful change is possible.

Growing. Serving. Building.

That’s the best way to describe this week at Inspire Bariatrics.

✔️ Rockwall: We celebrated a major milestone by performing our first bariatric surgery there. It was an outstanding experience with an exceptional operating room team and, most importantly, an excellent patient outcome.

✔️ I also had the privilege of proctoring another surgeon in advanced robotic bariatric surgery as we continue expanding access to advanced bariatric care through the Texas Health Rockwall Bariatric Program alongside Dr. Colleen Kennedy.

✔️ McKinney & Allen: While celebrating our patients’ incredible progress in clinic, we also stayed busy with emergency surgical call at Texas Health Allen, caring for patients when they needed us most.

✔️ Back to Rockwall & Rowlett: We visited primary care practices, strengthened relationships with referring providers, and spent time in our beautiful new clinic on the Texas Health Rockwall campus. It was great introducing Ellea to Betsy, the bariatric coordinator for the Texas Health Rockwall Bariatric Program, as we prepare to welcome our first patients there on July 1. We’re excited to continue serving the Rockwall and Rowlett communities for years to come.

✔️ Friday: We wrapped up the week with another outstanding day of robotic surgery at Texas Health Frisco before finishing rounds Saturday morning.

Three hospitals. Four cities. One mission: helping patients build healthier lives.
