As another busy week comes to a close at Inspire Bariatrics, I’m reminded how much I enjoy what we do.

This week, we had the opportunity to meet new patients beginning their journey while also celebrating the continued success of those who have worked hard to reclaim their health. Watching those transformations unfold over time is one of the most rewarding parts of our practice.

We’re also excited about the continued growth of our outreach efforts and look forward to opening our new permanent Rockwall clinic location on July 1, allowing us to better serve patients throughout the area.

Behind the scenes, we’re constantly working to improve the patient experience. This week, much of that effort focused on strengthening our patient education and communication regarding vitamins and long-term nutritional health. A special thank you to Ellea for her leadership, enthusiasm, and dedication to our patients. We’ll be sharing more about her and her own journey in the coming weeks.

We also continued to share our robotic surgery experience with other surgeons, helping expand access to advanced surgical techniques and high-quality patient care.

And for those who visit us in McKinney, you know our clinic occasionally comes with a little extra Texas charm. This week, we were treated to a visit from a bobcat wandering through the area—a reminder that even in the middle of a busy practice, there are still moments that make you stop and smile.

The future of surgery is here.

Today I was able to remotely mentor a surgeon using Intuitive’s telepresence technology—sharing more than 20 years of robotic surgery experience without ever stepping into the operating room.

From my computer, I can provide real-time guidance and support as surgeons learn new robotic techniques, helping expand access to advanced surgical care and improve outcomes for patients. It’s exciting to see technology bringing surgeons together in ways that were unimaginable just a few years ago.

Honored to play a small role in helping the next generation of robotic surgeons grow and succeed.

This morning, before heading into surgery at Texas Health Frisco, I had a few quiet minutes to sit outside and enjoy the weather. It gave me a chance to reflect on the busy week we’ve had at Inspire Bariatrics.

We saw patients who are just beginning their journey, patients preparing for surgery, and patients already experiencing the benefits of the changes they’ve worked so hard to make. Seeing that progress and being trusted to be part of it is always rewarding.

When I came to Texas, one of my goals was to build the type of bariatric practice I had always envisioned—not one focused simply on surgeries or medications, but one focused on truly meeting the needs of this patient population. A practice that provides comprehensive care, long-term support, and the resources patients need to succeed.

As I sat there this morning, it struck me that we’re getting closer to that vision every day.

I’m grateful to have added Ellea to our team as our Bariatric Coordinator. Her knowledge, compassion, and commitment to our patients have already made a tremendous impact, and we’re fortunate to have her with us.

As we continue to grow in McKinney and expand into Rockwall, I’m excited about what we’re building and the patients we’ll have the opportunity to serve in the years ahead.
