Around 3-4 months, you can experience a “drop” in your milk supply. You may notice your breast feel softer or you baby gets frustrated at the breast. Your body will produce exactly what your baby needs. Do not give up!!! 👏

Here’s 5 things I always recommend to keep up your supply:

1. Hydrate!!- listen, drinking water is no fun. But if you want to keep up your supply, you should be getting at least 80 ounces a DAY. Throw in some electrolytes and you’ve got yourself a ticket to a great milk supply!
2. Power Pump!- after your baby nurses, pump for 10-15 mins on each side. This will stimulate your breasts to produce more for a higher demand.
3. WAKE UP!- every night, if your baby is not waking through the night to nurse, pump around 1-5am. Prolactin (milk production hormone) levels are highest at this time. Do not skip unless you want your body to produce less.
4. Cuddle your baby!- extra snuggles and skin to skin will get all the hormones and oxytocin flowing- perfect for increased milk production
5. Eat!- the more fats, the better! Avocados, fish, and oats are a game changer!
PM me if you have any questions or are needing any help! You can do this, mama! 🤍✨

A mastitis infection can start from a clogged milk duct or break of the ni**le skin – which can often happen from breastfeeding over time. Below are some signs to look out for.

👉Swollen, tender breasts.
👉Hard lumps.
👉Skin redness on the breast area.
👉Feeling ill or having flu-like symptoms.
